  • Back in 3D view mode you will now see that the roof and the bonnet now are mapped to your template. Just like this: Let's continue with mapping the front bumper. Deselect everything except

Can you add the pictures again?

Good to see you're on UV-mapping now Tom, looking forward to what you put out.

Meh, I'm working on a few things, but just really trying to expand my skills so that I can produce something decent. Thanks though, your downloads are pretty amazing.

I've been looking for this type of tutorial for ages...!

Now to FINALLY make a template for the stock police buffalo from EFLC! :)

Hi, corleone you really made a great toturial. I was trying to UV map some months ago but now I actually started one car.

But I have a Big problem, after the left side done, and the right side selected. In UV Mapper , I cannot select the object:

Neither with quadre or single... I just cant select it so I cant move and scale it to the right position.

Is that a bug or whats the problem?

EDIT: Its a bug! After restarting It worked again lol

sorry to bother but does anyone know how to map a license plate of a standard iv car?

so that people can edit the license plate on the template?

Fantastic Tut! I do however have a suggestion for a possible tut? Maybe a tut on mapiing the headlight/tail light zig zag and maybe the secondary lights as well (extra 7, 8 and 9)

I do however like taximan's question as well, about adding the license plate to the template

Just edit the generic vehicle detail mesh before importing the car to zModeler or before exporting to IV.

This tutorial is really wonderful and has helped me a lot... but i have one doubt.. after mapping how do i make sure that i have four different templates in one model, you know like 4 liveries.. police_sign1. police sign 2 and so on??

Just make sure you named the material for the livery correctly, as shown here, then simply as the liveries and it'll work. Don't forget to add the multi livery [+livery] in the vehicles.ide

Sorry to bump this topic back up but I know you won't reply in a private message. But I am doing this with the Gang Burrito from TLAD. The model already has a "gburrito_sign_1.png" file. How would this work?
