I know there is something you have to do but not sure what and how to do it. It says I have to re download it now, so please can someone tell me the steps of how to fix it, I backed up my game lastnight and earlier when I started up RAGE, social club brought up a link of things.

Uninstall Social Club from your computer and download and install this and it will work if you have backed up your game getting the Code 16 error

http://patches.rockstargames.com/prod/socialclub/Social-Club-v1.1.7.8-Setup.exe

Basically:

 

1. Update your game

2. Use Ragehook to revert back to backup

3. Uninstall Socialclub and download the link above and install that

4. Start game

I get an "All Rockstar Applications must be removed before removing Rockstar Games Social Club" error when trying to uninstall the Social Club. I downloaded the link for the reverted Social club link and tried installing that but get "A newer version 1.1.9.5 installed for Rockstar Games Social Club. Exiting installation" error.

Is your GTA V, retail or steam based?

Program & Features > (search for Rockstar Social Club) and delete the files. After deleting the files juz download and install old launcher (678)

That's the error I get when I try to uninstall Rockstar Social Club. It gives me " All Rockstar Applications must be removed before removing Rockstar Games Social Club" error when trying to uninstall the Social Club". I went into task manager and verified I wasn't running anything GTA5 related (Rage Hook, launcher, etc.).

Go to >start>search>regedit>Hkey_Local_Machine>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node then find for GTA or Social club and delete it then try to unistal normaly from control panel  

if that doesnt work then you might wanna start your own post in the support forums, so that more senior members can help you out!

Looks like that worked. It still would not let me "uninstall" Social Club. I ended up, after deleting the registry files for Social Club, being able to install the older version of Social Club.
