Hello!

The following refers to the new MDT plugin PolicingMDT that you can download by clicking here.

This is the new database for Field Interactions and Citations that YOU make!  This will be an area where you are able to upload your .txt files and users are able to add your data to their own personal files in order to "update" their database!

Field interactions are able to be pulled from a locally stored folder (LSPDFR/MDT/FIs).  In this folder you will see a bunch of .txt files with random last names.  Those are all the people you wrote your FIs about!  Good work, officer!

To better serve the community you need to make sure you update your database of FIs often.  Because if you run into someone who already has had an interaction with another officer, that might change everything!

 

Therefore, if you wish to upload your database, please follow this format when you post!

Please zip your folder "FIs" that is found in LSPDFR/MDT and upload it here!  Do not change the name of the folder so installation can be smooth!

 

To install:

Please download the attached file, go to your LSPDFR/MDT folder, then paste the "FIs" folder you dowloaded!

If you received an "overwrite existing file" popup - click no!  That means someone else met the ped you did too!  Find out who that is by looking at the name of the file, then manually copy over their lines to the bottom of your file (yours is found in LSPDFR/MDT/LastNameFirstName.txt)

Then voila! You have an updated database!

I will periodically update this post with the most updated files!

I LOVE this idea of other officers dealing with individuals, and you running into the individual again. I really like that, it adds a whole new aspect of role-play to the game, and I hope people participate with this.

If you wish, I can host a shared database in the Microsoft cloud, which the addon could connect to. This could mean everyone works off the same database (we are really spying on people haha)!

I have some free time after we finish a project at work in a few weeks. Would you be interested in working with me to make a web-based application that will link everyone together with live updates?

We're actually planning on making an SQL database once we finish combining Compuer+ and PolicingMDT!

If you're familiar with SQL then I'll certainly need your help!  As of right now though this is more of a placeholder.

I actually did not read the "live updates" thing.  That would be pretty cool!  Let me know when you're ready as I'm definitely interested in that!

I'm a web developer by profession, so yeah, I know my way around SQL :P

Plenty of opportunity here, I'll drop you a PM once I'm free and we can brainstorm some ideas. 

Are you familiar with http requests and JSON encoding/decoding within C#?

I'm sorry, then I didn't understand that properly. " Please download the attached file " and " I will periodically update this post with the most updated files "  have entirely confused me.
