Accidentally Cancelling traffic stop with A button(controller)

Featured Replies

I play with an xbox 360 controller and my police radio conflicts with my traffic stop sometimes, its easiest to keep the select button on my police radio as A so i dont jump, take cover, shoot/punch/ get into a vehicle while simply selecting something lol I have to either press enter on the keyboard for selecting or get out of my car to select options on the radio. im curious Is there anyway to change A from being the cancel traffic stop button to another button??? if so where can i edit this option!! :D

I dont believe you can change default LSPDFR control you would have to edit the Radio controls in Policeradio.ini but someone please correct me if i am wrong.

LSPDFR gamepad controls are not changeable at this time. The reason for the conflict is that the mod reads the set game controls, in this case sprint (A button), to do traffic stops. You'll have to live with it or change your other mod settings.

I had the same problem when I started, but now I always use the ENTER on the keyboard, it became natural after a while. Also, If you don't want to jump while selecting something on Police radio, all you have to do is stand still. Once your character starts calling it in, you can move all you want.

And, when you want to get out of any popup, instead of pressing B ( i know, it's a reflex, I still do it sometimes), press the same button you pushed to open it in the first place; like the backup popup, press down on the joystick to close it, the ped/vehicle check, press N to close it, etc.... pressing B on your controller will just make you punch... if you're lucky you'll punch air but there's good chances a cop/ped/coroner/media/csi/suspect/random shithole will be RIGHT THERE and get knocked the f***k out.

Yeah, I have this problem all the time. Especially if I try and call for extra backup when I've got an outstanding warrant and I select the unit I want....

You should use the traffic backup selection on Police Radio instead of the LSPDFR menu. They come faster, they get out of their patrol car and they actually stick around until you tell them to leave.
