[REL] Coastal Callouts Discussion Thread

Featured Replies

I have another suggestion based on a conversation I had with a Swedish Coast Guardsmen. One of the primary missions for our guardsmen is Enivornmental Surveying and Protection. We often fly out in one of our aircraft over an area either on or outside our coast (sometimes called in from our neighbors) and look around for signs of oil pollution. Similarly, we have dedicated environmental protection vessels which have a wide variety of sensors, many of which I can't remember. They take water samples and have tests that indicate various foreigh chemicals. They also have a net which folds out of the sides, dips into the water, and as the EPV proceeds on its route collects oil/other contaminants in the water.

Anyways, my suggestion closely ties to this specific mission. Perhaps a callout for "suspected pollution" where you have to respond to a vessel out on the coast that's been reported as pouring/throwing/dumping something over the deck. Your mission is to go there and test the water for signs of pollution. Or one of the USCG patrol aircraft spotted signs of pollution, and you have to patrol a set area and find the offending vessel. It's boring compared to the daring rescues and nighttime boardings, but some variance must be had ;)

It's damned if you do, damned if you don't. Release a mod early in its progress, and people complain that it doesn't have all the features they expected or that it has bugs. Release updates too often

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MODS..THEY'RE CALLED READMEs   AKA read me for a reason

lspdfr plugin or GTA V crashed? find your Rage log in your gta folder, usually found after ragepluginhook.exe and open it, hit Ctrl a, open pastebin.com, select new paste, hit Ctrl v, get the link after you pasted it and supply that with your issue in the specific mod topic, it helps the developer diagnose the problem you may have.

So some of you all might be wondering why there is no videos out lately. I think some of us Beta Testers have been super busy lately. Rest assure there will be more coming out soon. I myself will be recording a Boat Patrol in the next day or two and hope to have it out for you guys and gals. Til then. Stay tune! :)

It may also be related to my own lack of updates to the beta. The good news is I made it out of the wilderness alive! The bad news for you nerds is I'm still out for another couple weeks... but rest assured I have many new ideas for what to work on when I return!

I'm planning to have some environmental response/enforcement as well as fisheries enforcement callouts. One thing in particular I need to figure out still is if I can find a particle effect that'll work for pollution in the water. But I'm definitely planning on having some stuff like that!

When can download for free?

I don't know yet when the mod will be ready for full public release. The beta still has a lot of work left to do. But keep an eye on this page, I will definitely make an announcement when the release is imminent.

I wish he could process us that donated but i have to wait :whistling:

To use the beta you need a license file, and I can only generate a license file using my home computer, so unfortunately I can't do it any quicker. I actually tried to do it from a computer in a hostel I was staying at (that's how much I care about you guys!) but it wouldn't work. Rest assured that as soon as I get home I'll take care of everyone who donated while I was gone. I know you're all eager to try the mod, but I did make my absence known in advance and there isn't anything more I can do from my phone over wifi in a foreign country. Thank you everyone for your patience!

I've answered this recently, check the previous page. I don't know a release date yet because the mod is not yet finished.
