What are good computer spects for LSPDFR?

Featured Replies

I currently have a Windows 10 Toshiba Satellite, but i'm looking for a gaming desktop pc. I think it would be better to play games on a desktop rather than a laptop.

And i've been wondering what kind of specs is good for playing LSPDFR

Also what specs info should i look into

Specs for my laptop

Windows 10 Pro

Processor Intel(R) Core (TM) i3-4005U CPU @1.7GHz 1.70

RAM 6.00 GB

What are the type of info should i look into

Thanks in advance.

Yes. As the person above says. What's the budget you have or will consider. If you are going to build a proper Gaming Desktop then you are going to want to invest, maybe purchase the higher end graphics cards and processors so then you are set to play games at pretty good quality for the next few years. In the long run you are going to save more money if you trick it out really well as you won't need to be constantly looking at the specs and purchasing this that and the other just to boost your performance slightly.

I don't really think the processor really makes any difference in this case. It's more of the Graphics Card. If you don't have a decent one, your game will have to look extremely nasty, and would still likely result in major frame loss. Then it presents the problem, a decent graphics card is far too large to fit in a Laptop, it basically becomes close to impossible to get a Laptop playing games really well.

You'll need both. An i3 is a dual core, generally clocked around 2.3ghz in a laptop, maybe about 3.0 in a desktop. An i5 or i7 desktop CPU would probably work out alright, and yes, a decent graphics card is a major component, but be careful not to downplay the significance of the processor. Modern game developers assume you have a quad core CPU and 8GB of RAM these days, just check out the requirements lists for the newest games to hit the streets such as Tom Clancy's "The Division" or Far Cry: Primal.

Wasn't necesarilly going to play it LSPDFR on my laptop. I'm currently looking for a good decent desktop to play and i want to know what are some decent specs for a desktop. I only gave my laptop specs as an example. And i don't know which specs i should be looking at.

I'm in the same boat as gods10rules.  In fact, almost the same exact laptop.  For giggles, I installed GTA V knowing it wouldn't really support GTA V and to confirm... GTA V is pretty horrendous.  Everything about it is just slow and the graphics are pretty pixelated.

It seems like as of late gaming laptops are quickly closing the gap with gaming PCs, but in the long run PCs will always come out on top; they can support hardware upgrades, they don't run as hot as laptops since the equipment has room to cool and support larger, powerful components amongst other pros of gaming PCs.

gods10rules - The suggestions for desktop gaming PCs is endless really, especially when you can build your own machine.  (How cool of an idea is that?!  You can spec out and build your own PC and chances are good that this would be even cheaper than buying a pre-made PC.  If you haven't found the answer you're looking for yet, here is a link that might be helpful:  http://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-gaming-pc,review-2219.html  I also echo the suggestion of setting a budget as prices will vary greatly depending on what you want.

Let us know what you decided on getting!  Good luck!

The recommended requirements for GTA V would be a good place to start.

If your PC can run GTA V for PC, it can run LSPDFR.

no, just no... You can play vanilla GTA 5 at a good and stable 40 FPS. Once you install LSPDFR and some plugins, everything goes to shit. You wont even have stable 30 so definetely you need a margin to regard the frame rate lost.

There's your problem.

LSPDFR runs fine on my machine, just as good as GTA V runs when LSPDFR is not installed.

Whats the point of playing without plugins? My 920 ran well with LCPDFR obviously. But once you had the plugins that actually make it playable, it gets spiked down to 30 with breaks. No PC does magic with underpowered GPU's, when corncerning third party pluggins.
