Possibly true GTA V Leak.

Featured Replies

Well, I know what you're all thinking. Just another troll. But maybe not this time. At GTA Forums, a user posted a topic. Right now, currently over 100 users are reading it. It hasn't been locked by staff, and is possibly true. You have to read it for yourself: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=505976

One thing I found interesting is this: "Here is

a departments i can promise you. as a fan myself, we all will be pleased with. First off, every vehicle in GTA IV and The Episodes of Liberty City will be returning. What makes it all that so sweet is every vehicle will include their 1984, 1986, 1992, 1998, 2001, 2008, and 2012 renditions." If that's true, then you know what that means for Police vehicles.

I thought we could possibly discuss it here too, if that's okay with the Staff. This is also about what it could mean for the Police vehicles... and for the modding community.

So what do you guys think?

I would love to believe all of that as it sounds awesome. But sadly I'll wait until R* releases information, at least then I will know its true.

There was one thing that caught my eye:

"Police on foot will now tackle fleeing suspects and use flanking and stealthier tactics to draw out the player when hiding." .. Sounds pretty epic.

@James2012, well, this is the spot for GTAV, hmmm your sick of reading about it? why click the topic?

but you are right James2012, everyone is going to get their hopes up about something that may or may not be true, i don't even bother searching GTAV

anymore.

Plus in the official trailer, they still use the Vapid Police Cruiser, and chances are AI will still be the same, in my opinion, Police have been glorified way to much, cause that's all you read about is people wanting LCPDFR or driving the car's, also from the video, the light's look the same.

@Slimory i dont know lol i just saw it and clicked it :D.. And yes wait till june for E3 youll see

He shot himself in the foot. By releasing his first name and where he worked as an Intern, if R* doesn't like what they see if they see it, they will more then likely hunt him down and never re-hire him again. If they share the information with fellow developers they may not hire him as an Intern as a Leak Risk. Depends on the company and if they want it on a tight lid.

Even if he isn't contractable on an NDA, there is still respect of the company. Early information may potentially scar development.

May 24 is the birthday of Dan Houser, that's why they drop so many 0524 hints in trailers and games, it were also the plane ID number on the plane that was featured in the final TBOGT(?) cut-scene.

I've skipped past the storyline part due to the fact that I do not want my gaming experience ruined on the off-chance it's actually legit, I however feel that this is the most credible "leak" so far, although I thought the red convertible in the trailer was a Fletzer, as well as the fact that every rendition of some cars will be present.

Also, Pfister instead of Porsche, perfect, suits them very well, he's managed to get the Rockstar humour in there.

I remain extremely sceptical of any leaks, but any leaks could be true unless Rockstar themselves denies them.

It seems like a good PR trick, regardless of it being Rockstar themselves, it gets hype going, hopefully the next game details will be revealed soon.

EDIT: I do not remember Rockstar attending E3, so I doubt they'll release any info during E3, it also seems too far away from the details listed in their standard "expect more info to be released in the coming months" you get if you contact Rockstar, as they have been sending those out for quite a while now.

I'm not gonna go out on a limb here and say this is true, yet what this guy says seems highly likely to me. It seems like something R* could do for the next title. Whether it will actually happen is to be questioned, yet if that is what were waiting for, they surely have my pre-order.

@NB: You can read the storyline part safely, he doesn't say anything about the developments of the story, just gives some info on who will be played etc. No spoilers.

Due to the graphic nature of this post, reader discretion is advised.

Not re-hiring him would be the least of his worries if any of it is true, he's probably be looking at lawsuit's out the a**

Not necessarily, he isn't technically breaking any laws or policy from what I was reading. He was contracted for a duration, not under an NDA directly. I believe when being hired by a company, you sign the Duration Contract and then the NDA separately to ensure that there is no confusions. Even though he isn't breaking any laws/rules there is still the respect as I said early. If you enjoy working in the industry, trust is important. Starting off as an Intern is a big thing for a Gaming Company. You may uncover some secrets during your working period, but what you do with it can effect the outcome. If you do your job successfully and you do not leak any information, you may be re-hired for a longer duration, and if you have any experience within a development/testing field you may be notified in advance of potential job openings... If you reach the end of your contract and they discover that you leaked information, then they will just dismiss everything and not hire you again...

Not necessarily law suit worthy.

It could be a PR ploy by Rockstar in order to build some hype for a new trailer.

That is indeed possible, I thought of that a few times, it seems to be written very professionally but there are a lot of people who write like that as is..

We'll eventually find out.

you can never tell with R*, but the info seem's legit, but really? the same vehicles...

With new ones. Every vehicle will also have different year variants of it, according to this guy.

Overall, I think this may be real. I'm also one of those people that don't really trust leaks, but the background of this guy seems to be more realistic and somewhat more possible than other "leaks".

I've worked under an NDA, and that applies, even after the employment ends, I've seen some confusion over that on different sites regarding a previous fictional leak.

It is indeed well-written, however you'd expect so from an intern at a prestigious gaming company.

Overall, I'm positively surprised over his post, I've heard good things about the drug dealing system from CW, I am also very delighted that the burglary side missions are back.

I am, however, not that thrilled about annoying "schools", driving school, flying schools, I still remember spending hours on that damn flight school in GTA:SA.

It seems credible, but I won't believe it until Rockstar releases more information about the game.

That's good info David!, to be completely honest, i really hope that it's present day 2012, although he say's it it's going to be, i'll believe it when i look on R*'s site and it say's Official 2012! :)

This is what I've always hated about large game company huge title releases....

The game gets announced, then all hell breaks loose, people state that everything they could ever want is finally in the game, and that R* or "Insert your big game/large title releasesing company" is FINALLY listening to us, people spend days, weeks, no sleep, researching the crap out of every little thing, if any of it is true, the developers have to go back to stage 1 to story boarding to make it different so their AAA game is completely fresh to the market, things people wanted get thrown out because time was waited doing damage control on leaks, or, the fact that people spend all their time, trying to prove that the features everyone DESPERATELY wanted will be included in the game, everybody gets excited, so called "Possible feature release dates" gets announced by the community and not the devs, drama, and I mean, HUGE DRAMA in sues over who's right, who knows what, who "Works with rockstar" when truthfully non of them have even spoken to the staff at all, game comes out, devs didn't listen, and threw everything (and I say everything because everyone expects the devs to throw in every single feature they want) out the window, everyone gets pissed, people play the game, next game comes out, and it all happens again.

Me, personally, I ignore it all, let the game speak for its self, you don't NEED to know EVERYTHING that will come out of the game, again, let the game speak for its self and let you really get into it rather than knowing what and who will be in it, its so much more gratifying, I remember a long time ago (not that long), I used to be part of a very prestigious PS3 BFBC1 Clan, we all lived, eat, and slept, Battlefield, Bad company, BFBC2 Gets announced, of course, we want to know everything, we all slaved over thinking what and who was going to be in it, beta comes out, play the hell out of it, game comes out, I literally played like 2 days of it and then after that, never really picked up the game again and ended up hating the game when truthfully, it is a GOOD GAME (I did the same with Red Dead Redemption, Watched leaked live streams, it was still great to me, except for I knew all the features before finding them my self), I hate to see R* be killed/hated because small features weren't included because some 12 year old kept thinking it was fun to do some creative writing and mild research to prove to everyone that he is right, my personal opinion, ignore it, if its some really credible info, skim over it, don't slave over it, the game is so much better after it, besides, the only thing you will find on those threads are a bunch of 12 year olds arguing what and who is right, its never fun to be involved, anywho, this is just my little rant on this type of stuff, not meant towards any one or the OP at all, just throwing in my 2 cents.

Help us, help you!
