On a serious note. Anything going on or possible of alleyway chases? All the suspects seem to stick on the main roads. Not as much fun when they're on a linear path.

The last time I heard the term "cautious cops", a Noose van slammed into the back of my cruiser.. ;)

  • I can assure you that both Sam and LMS spend an unhealthy amount of time on this free modification to ensure it is as close to perfect as possible for you, the end user. Relax.

once .3 and ELS V come out im probably going to switch to LSPDFR. I'm still loyal to LCPDFR, which is better than nothing. WAY better than waiting for LCPDFR bc there was really no alternative to hold ya over haha

They pull over just fine as it is. I haven't seen anyone report that before, to be honest.

Eh... It could use work.  Most times they stop with a Good portion of their car in the road which jacks with traffic.  Or They don't pull over much at all and you are getting smashed by drivers trying to go around.

I wish we could get something like albo's follow me command but without having to pull to the front of the suspect vehicle.

You can make them find a new place to pull over.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

He's right though, even IF you do honk to find a new place to pull them over, they usually are more in the road than actually pulled over,

maybe we can see that in a future update sometime.

If you use Traffic Policer by Albo1125 you won't ever have this problem, you can have the car follow you and pull over to a safer place to conduct the traffic stop..

Which is great.... Except no cop in the world would ever do such a thing.

I am just putting it out there so the developers know about it.  The honk to make them find a new spot is great but still suffers from the same result as your initial pullover typically.

Albo's script is awesome but takes away from the RP realism because of the requirement to pull ahead.

Just suggestions for improvement.

Completely wrong, if I'm correct this is standard practice in Germany when pulling over vehicles. However the way I see it is, it's a game, there are limitations to what can be done, or it would take a lot of time getting it so a car pulls over in a certain way, or at a certain place.

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

Well it is your right and choice not to use what I suggested, and it is also your opinion of what realism is.. We are talking about a video game with limitations here as Ben has pointed out.. I would suspect that 90+ percent of us playing LSPDFR are not even cops in real life.

I wanted to edit my comments and say you have every right to make a suggestions for improvement.. I will leave those types of questions for the developers to answer... I can however disagree on what is considered realism in my mind..

Ok... So one country, my bad.  Though you don't seem so sure about it so dont be so quick to tell someone they are wrong eh.

Regardless, it's just a suggestion and I think a community moderator like yourself would appreciate any and all suggestions for improvement regardless of their difficulty or limitations.

Oh I use albo's script all the time and it works Great.  I am just saying that if they could implement it the way I've suggested then the overall experience would be better.  Again, it's just a suggestion.

The way in which we get vehicles to pull over is perhaps something we'll take a look at.  Methods such as having the vehicle follow the player are great from a technological standpoint as it is very easy to accomplish.  Much harder to produce the same result (a properly parked vehicle in a suitable location) using other methods.

And it is actually quite common in some countries for police vehicles to direct cars they want to stop like this.  An increasing number of police cars are being fitted with electronic signage for this purpose which can be used to display messages to drivers behind them.  In some parts of the UK, this happens frequently.

Just curious while you're on this subject.  I know 0.95 in LCPDFR had terrible pullovers, but you changed them in 1.0 to beautiful pullovers.  Could you apply a similar fix that you did in LCPDFR to LSPDFR, or is the coding so much different?

Thank you for taking the time to respond.  I appreciate that you guys look at the comments and acknowledge suggestions whether they be something useful or not.  Thank you as well for the information about the changes overseas in police procedure.  I am in the United States and that method just isnt used here as far as I know.

On another note... I am attempting to learn how to write plugins for LSPDFR.  Do you have any example code I could use to help me learn some of the method you guys use?  I have been looking through the examples provided in the Rage download but they just arent commented very well.  Anything would be appreciated!  Feel free to PM me.

Quite off-topic, but look through the API Development forum. LukeD has also uploaded an example project there.

Yes, sorry about that.  Thank you for that information.  I will go look around in there.
