It really depends on the station (pretty much all stations above 21 with a few exceptions are traffic divisions you can tell by the 2 digit number on the roof or on a cvpi trunk), but back to the point I really don't think there's a pattern to which cars have mirror lights or not, because if you haven't already noticed LAPD is very random.

Haha, yes I've noticed the inconsistency of the LAPD fleet. About the only consistent thing I've found is they're all black and white (except K-9). Is there any way of knowing the age of the vehicle from the number plate? Like with the NYPD the plate has the year of registration on it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure there isn't.  The CA exempt plates don't have registrations (because who has time for that).  The only thing I can think of is the city numbers under the city seal might tell (but all city vehicles have those numbers and the last 3 numbers are the unit numbers).

If possible, you should make different spotlight positions different extras. That way, if I'm patrolling in day, for example, I can flip the spotlights down by changing extras, but if its night, i can flip them up. Also just provides some more variation from each vehicle

ok, I will do it

It seems the first versions of the LAPD explorer had a Valour lightbar+ no mirror lights when they were reviewing the vehicles

And it seems that they adjusted to have a Ajernt+no wing mirror lights when the vehicle entered service. This setup seems to be the most common.

And the more recent models have the mirror lights.

Due to the 2016 Explorer theres not many models with mirror lights.

Thanks a lot to @DroidRZRLover for this

New lights look great but why are the arjent lights so different? Can you make them more red and blue like the mirror and strobe lights?
