He never said anything about ELS his videos not being ELS. Hes just saying that a lot of what we have seen can be reproduced with carcols.

Yeah, stages and control panels. That's it. Why not show some "new" features? Might as well play some GTA IV to get the feel for GTA V ELS.

Well, ELS IV is great already. Hell, if we got the exact same features in ELS V at first, then new stuff later, I'd be fine with that. Because all I want is ELS in a game where buildings don't start doing a disappearing act when you start modding cars in.

ELS for V is exactly what ELS was for IV. They're just showcasing old stuff that everybody's already seen. It's nothing to see.

Hell at the moment i'd just love to get my hands on even an unfinished version, just so i have time to start optimising my models for it

ELS V and Carcol is vanilla to chocolate, really. They're both sweet. They're both delicious. They're both the same. But they're not. One's chocolate, and one's vanilla. Is that all there is to it? One tastes better. No it doesn't. Yes it does. How do you decide which one everyone likes more? How *can* you decide?

 

Yes, you can re-create some of the patterns you see with carcol, but that's it. With 32 bit binary, you can't go so far with it. You run into a wall. ELS V breaks down that wall, and you can run further and smell the roses along the way.

And as much as i already know the answer to this question, i have to ask.. Lt. Caine said in his update about 2 months ago that he didnt want to release ELS, make a major change, and then have a whole lot of confusion. But he also said that there has yet to be a crash from ELS itself. So I'm wondering, is the "I dont want to release it because I dont want to make a major change and cause the community a whole lot of confusion" reason still the reason for no release? Are there more bugs, less downtime, or a different reason?

All that I'm asking for, really, is an update that isnt just out there.. like what is really happening, and what has changed from the last actual update, if you guys can give us that.

Im just going to throw this back out there, in hopes that someone can give us any sort of reply to it...

Perhaps we are nearing release. Maybe that's why we haven't seen anything in a while.

Just speculating, though.

But i would be nice and realistic if you add that,right.

Are you asking for there to be a reskin of the ELS control panel so that it looks like that? Because I'd say that'll be something other people would make, not Lt.Caine. He has enough on his hands to just work on the mod itself with a default UI.

Sorry, but testers are hand-picked by Lt.Caine. The people who are testing the mod have a lot of experience with GTA modding and vehicle modelling, and that's because they'll be the most qualified to help test it.

 

Trust me, we all want to "test it", haha. But we just have to be patient. I personally have some... issues which can make me very impatient while waiting for things. I have no idea how I've kept what little sanity I have for the last 15(!) months. 

Sure... my bedroom walls may be covered in notches where I marked every single day I've waited... with random scribblings of "ELS V"... in my own blood... b-but that's normal right? RIGHT?

haha, me too.But i think i have some experience in GTA modding and vehicle texture making.

but i dont think it is normal to have scribblings of blood on your wall of els.

They might be very experienced with lspdfr but they are not modders, they dont really have experience with modding in general. Theyre just popular lspdfr youtubers

I'm on the edge of my seat for ELS V...

Trust me, it will be worth the wait.  I promise you this. ELS V will have features that isn't seen in ELS IV nor has it been revealed to the public yet. All Lt. Caine wants from you guys is to keep up with the lasting patience because it will pay off in the end.  

 

Now, the bad news is that I won't be posting any more updates about ELS. This is to ensure that you have the element of suprise when playing with ELS V for the first time.  We've shown you guys the basic idea of how ELS is going to work,  and we're saving the best features for final release.
