I respect Trump, because unlike every other candidate and politician, he speaks his mind. Too bad that humanoid robot Hilary is gonna be our next president

  • Yes, speaking his mind all the time isn't necessarily a good thing though. Part of being a leader is knowing what to say and when to say it, if you go around saying whatever you are thinking right now

  • Here's the issue with speaking your mind: It doesn't work so well if what you think is stupid and/or wrong. Here's the issue with blaming political correctness for everything: There actually are thing

I would not vote for anyone who favors similar ideologies of socialists. I especially disagree with this $15 minimum wage idea. My burger from McDonalds looks like crap now. If they want more pay they need to put in more effort. Not to mention, raising minimum wage would raises prices of products. If no one can afford these products then the company goes out of business and people lose jobs.

If they wanted to make more than 7.25 an hour then they should have paid more attention in school. Plus, I need someone to serve me fries when I go to Five Guys, so it all works out in the end.

You realize the minimum wage hasn't been keeping up with inflation for at least the past 10 years right?

Side note: Do you go to McDonalds and expect good food? It is McDonalds, if you want a good burger then go to a real burger place.

True, but the minimum wage does not work only when it applies to small businesses. Big box places like Walmart, McDonalds, and Abercrombie and Fitch, can easily afford an increase of a minimum wage. That's just my opinion though.

Not at all. Wal-mart recently raised its minimum wage and it began going out of business as a result. Raising the minimum wage doesn't solve as many problems as people seem to think it does. If you want to make more money, go find a real job.

Two words: income inequality.

Or just get a real job... There isn't much more to the concept, with all due respect man.

What if there are no higher-paying jobs in your area, and you can't afford higher level education? "get a real job" isn't a legitimate policy position.

Then move somewhere that has higher-paying jobs. Shouldn't have moved into an area with no jobs to begin with. Can't afford higher education? Find some scholarships, join the military, do something to help yourself. I have no sympathy for someone that sits there and expects everything to come to them just because that's the way they think it should be. Go join the military, find scholarships, learn a new skill, do something with your life. I couldn't care less because I'll move on with mine and do what I have to do to be successful. Just the way life works. Either face the challenges or whine and complain about them.

So you can't afford to enroll in college because you were born in a historically poor area, but you can afford to move? And you can't exactly "find scholarships". Come on.

Again, income inequality.

Life is hard man, I'm not sure what you want me to say. Make do with what you have or serve your country is all I can think of. Give to your country and it'll give back to you.

So either you suffer for the rest of your life in the poverty you've inherited and cannot overcome, or you join the military and potentially risk your life in order to collect whatever minuscule assistance the VA offers? Poverty and homelessness are common among veterans, who often don't get psychological treatment for post traumatic stress. Does that sound like "the American Dream" to you? That doesn't even sound like freedom, it sounds like a third world country.

And lets not forget, we're talking about minimum wage. Plenty of other countries have higher wages than our workers, and their economies are stronger in many ways. When you raise someone's wage, it puts them in a better position to contribute back to the economy. It allows them to consider starting their own business, or simply buy more things, which stimulates the economy. In a lot of ways, higher wages are what can lead to the creation of jobs and strengthening of the middle class. The reason why some massive corporations don't raise their wages is because CEO pay is astronomical. Again, income inequality. Some CEOs make 300x what the average worker does. That just doesn't happen in other countries. If companies were to reign in the ridiculous pay of their executives, they could easily afford to pay a higher minimum wage to their employees. But because of Citizens United, the rich are able to donate to politicians, who in turn oppose legislation that would do just that.

Under the assumption that you're not a billionaire or a politician, you and I are in the same boat. Its not by chance that our wages are so low, its by design.

Not everyone is qualified to join the military now. All the branches are raising their standards and recruiters are becoming more and more picky especially with the huge cuts the military is facing. The military is no longer this thing you can fall back on. You have any kind of medical issues? If you do then good luck getting past MEPs. Don't meet the Army (or other respective branch) Height and Weight Standard? Not getting in. Can't pass a PT test? You'll get kicked out. Had any run-ins with the law (even minor ones)? If yes, you are either disqualified or at the very least restricted on which jobs you can get. Don't have at least a GED? Not getting in. Had a poor education and scored low on your ASVAB? Restricts what jobs you can have, if any. Not to mention that as a service member myself I want people who actually want to be here, not people who felt it was their only choice because if they don't really want to be here then how do I know they will give 100% and that I will be able to rely on them when it matters most. My point is there are lots of reasons why someone can't or shouldn't join the military so we shouldn't rely on the military to get people back on their feet.

Wow, didn't know that. I spoke to my recruiter and he said you can't even get in with a GED when I talked to him. No diploma no entry he said. He mentioned that the Army is getting rid of the dead wood that's been in for a while. People that haven't passed a single PT test and are continuing fail their classes and such. He also said that recruiting is at an all time high, just the Army is really getting rid of its dead wood, and immediately. Don't mean to go off topic here but good point you have.

I'm not aware of any new immigration problems with the UK or Greece. The problems the UK has been having isn't anything new and it isn't particularly bad either. And as far as Greece is concerned I haven't heard of any immigration problems whatsoever. I think considering Greece's economic situation illegal immigration is the least of their worries.

I agree with you on most of your posts, but I've to stop by on this one. There's definitely an increasingly ammount of immigrants coming from the Middle East that are entering Europe through Greece, and moving all over the EU to reach the north of France and cross the sea to England. And this is definitely a problem, because deaths are proportionally increasing. In the last few days, thousands of attempts have been made by migrants to enter the undersea rail tunnel to cross the sea and to go to the UK, disturbing train traffic, and getting some of them killed. UK and France actually signed an agreement not later than yesterday, UK agreeing to send UK cops to the France border to help them with the migrants, as well as 10 millions euros to financially help fighting the illegal migration.

I don't think you've a single idea of how it works. Here in France, the minimum wage increases every year, following inflation. Prices of products didn't raise because of that. Furthermore, increasing the minimum wage proportionally increases purchasing power, allowing people to buy more, which brings money into the economical machinery, increasing companies benefits and allowing them to invest more, and so on. Also, the fact that your burger tastes like crap has literally NOTHING to do with how much people are paid. You can pay them billions if you want, if the base material is shit, the result will be equally shitty.

Yes I am aware of the issue you speak of but what I was saying is that none of this is new, it has been happening for awhile now. There have been people trying to sneak their way through the tunnel into the UK pretty much since the tunnel was built.

Apparently this matters.... "Deez Nuts" is running for President... No really... He is a real person... He has 9% of the voters in NC... For realz, lol..

What's even funnier is that the rest of the population thought,"Who?" I guess this is the result of this country having the worst presidents in recent times, and letting idiots into our political system. Anyway, thanks for the laughs.

I'm intrigued to see Trump go to the finish line, since he is a self-made billionaire he plays by his own rules. This is going to be the most interesting election season by far. The only thing I dread more is the insane amount of political ads that swamp the prime-time tv when I'm watching a show saying how awful the other guy is and how awesome they are compared to the other dude. This is why I'm interested to see Trump because he is like the wild-card in the game.
