For me, it doesn't work in 1st person. Try it in 3rd person and it should work

Yes, me too I can't interact with pedestrians at all. The only thing I can do is point a gun and arrest them. I can't ask for ID or anything.

In the announcement notice it clearly says that we should be able to interact with them :

  • Players can now stop pedestrians on foot
  • Stopped pedestrians can be interacted with and can be:
    • Given Citations
    • Asked for ID
    • Issued Warnings
  • Stopped pedestrians can be interacted with

But it's not happening for me.

you have to push and hold e until they stop and face you

Im Retired. But that may change..

Its the same as arresting people. You can't mash the keys. HOLD e While close to the person you want to talk too. The officer will announce his/her presence. Then press E again to start the sequence.......

Pamaj check your pistol location and use your scroll wheel on your mouse.

you have to push and hold e until they stop and face you

I didn't know that, will try it once I have the chance to go in-game. Thank you!

No Problem ;-)

I can confirm this as well. Tried doing it with stationary peds, (ex. sitting down, standing at crosswalks, etc) and moving peds but had no luck. Holding down E as told, is supposed  to get there attention, they do stand there and look for a couple seconds but then walk away. Let go of E as well after that happens, but thats when they keep walking. Interaction screen dose not show at all.

Is anyone having a problem running names? When doing a T Stop, and asking for ID nothing shows up? That's the only problem I'm having

If you're having trouble with it, try reloading LSPDFR.

I've tried going into rage and reloading it. I'm doing a fresh install to see if it works.

I had the same problem last night.  Seemed to work great after I just started the game but after 30 mins I couldn't get the ID off any peds anymore no matter how long I kept holding E down.  Going to try again now and reload lspdfr script while in game if it happens again.

Ok, for me its the First-Person that disable the function. If I go into 3rd person it works with "E" or the right D-pad of my controller...

I posted this last night..

Yes, I know, I just updated my topic after testing your solution ;)

Ah ok hopefully they fix it soon, one thing I haven't tried doing it manually in first person. (Bringing up the interaction menu with N, and trying to request ID that way)
