I've identified the issue and I'm working on a solution. Thanks to @mrjustin471 for allowing me to remote debug his machine to find the issue!

cant update the direct x there, its for windows 7, i have windows 8.1

I think the problem might have different cause as I was getting the same exact issue but my problem was that the files were blocked. And I have Windows 8.1 so getting them unblocked was a bit tricky.

Run Windows Update if you haven't done it in a while. Once I downloaded the recent Microsoft .NET Framework updates, the crashing stopped.

Do not use FRAPS, I tried for over 4 hours to fix my game which kept crashing during the intro between the 3rd and 5th star appearing, and then I closed fraps and it worked instantly.

Notice that programs that have overlays such as Fraps, Overwolf, Steam, xFire, Raptr, ShadowPlay and things like that can interfere with games/mods.

Well i updated all necessary files and tried RAGEPluginHook_0_13_541_2492_ALPHA  with no luck whatsoever! Its really driving me insane the countless hours i spent this weekend trying to debug my problem on my own by reading all forums and post available. So now i pray LMS will work his magic for us having problems as he's done in the past! (Also im running Windows Vista sp2 64 bit) and (Steam copy GTA V)

I THINK the latest RagePluginhook doesn't have any files in its plugins folder . Is it a mistake or am I not knowing something?

It doesn't because it's just the hook. Just like how ScriptHook doesn't come with any scripts (aside from the example trainer). LSPDFR is a plugin that uses the RagePluginHook.

Could you create a thread with your specific crash? Also please verify you got both, the VC++ 2010 x64 and VC++ 2012 x64 redist installed.

So you want me to make a new topic with my specific crash logs, or just post them here? Also i do have VC++ 2010 x64, but for some reason i cant download the VC++ 2012 x64 from microsoft.com!

Edit- K so i do have all the redist, but i see i have C++ 2013 aswell, should i remove the C++ 2013?

I use Windows 8.1 .

And, I start 'RAGEPluginHook.exe'. When I See 'Blue Rockstar Logo', RAGE Plugin Hook has stopped.

You can see Visual C++ Redistributable.

And, I install .NET Framework 4.5.2 Too .

 

but, I still have Launch Issue. Can you remote my computer ? I want to play LSPDFR, RAGEPluginHook. 

 

I have spent countless hours now trying to fix issues to my game crashing, which always happens once the Rockstar logos start appearing. There is a log that comes up with this being the ending of it Log:
Could not read E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\RagePluginHook.log

at the end it also said "could not read closed file" . 

What's bugging me is that i played the game one evening and shut it off i played for about an hr with no issues and shut the game down normally, once i went to play the next day it automatically crashed, and there was no modding in between me playing the game or anything like that. I recently noticed that a lot of people have similar issues.

I have been on RageHook forums and have done everything that was advised on how to fix it but it still crashes. I have downloaded the new RageHook, tried it even with the old one, reinstalled LSPDFR all together, removed all the mods and pluggins i added to make sure it was nothing with those but no success. 

Maybe i'm missing something simple here, im hoping someone has had the same issues and has been able to resolve it.

When I play 0.1e then LSPDFR Plugin won't load and when I use 0.1d then game crashes on logo,    0.1d worked before but 0.1e didn't work before

For me everything was working perfectly. Then the update from R* and all hell broke loose! I am now re-downloading gta5 from steam (ouch) and will report back if that fixes the issue. Everything worked flawlessly. It stopped working when I pressed "Story mode". Then the game stopped working all together at the same point as it was crashing with Ragehook. Lets hope a full reinstall can sort it out.

Has anyone found a REAL solution for the game crashing? The LSPDFR update is coming out later today I would like to play it.
