1. It seems I have working lights but no siren

  • GTA IV's texturing used the exact same system. You could not make a police car black using the texture alone. That's because colors were in the carcols file. What you're mixing up is how *modded* cars

i have a question. im trying to add this vehicle to vehicles meta as fireute what do i do?:) i put the lines required in but rage plugin hook says the game crashed because of a spawing of vehicles issue. how do i properly add the lines to vehicles meta?:)

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MODS..THEY'RE CALLED READMEs   AKA read me for a reason

lspdfr plugin or GTA V crashed? find your Rage log in your gta folder, usually found after ragepluginhook.exe and open it, hit Ctrl a, open pastebin.com, select new paste, hit Ctrl v, get the link after you pasted it and supply that with your issue in the specific mod topic, it helps the developer diagnose the problem you may have.

Well, I'm pretty sure the Park Ranger and Sheriff Granger setting works for the FIB Granger (haven't actually taken a real close look), so you can try the Police/Sheriff Cruiser setting for an unmarked cruiser, and I suppose the Police Buffalo setting for the FIB Buffalo. No guarantees, though.

Police 4 and Police1/sheriff doesn't work, so i would guess it will be the same for the granger

sirenSettings 8 its Roadcruiser. 5 is the only Rancher and Transporter

could you change the security vehicle that spawns in game and add sirens and lights working say for example i wanted to change it to a cvpi what should i do ?

It's possible. You'd just have to find an appropriate car mod, rename it and install it over the existing vehicle, and then make a new carvariations entry for that modelname with the correct sirensetting value for the car mod.

so I edited the oracle xs a put a lightbar on it and it looks great! but I don't want to keep the same name "oracle" I want to change it to "oraclec" "c" for "cop" and I've been testing it and I changed the texture file, and the .yft file to "oraclec" but when I load it the game crashes.

does any know what's happing?

Make sure to change the model and texture lines in the vehicles.meta entry to the new filename. Also, make sure you do the same for the "hi" files, whichever the model has.

And I also did for the files "oraclec.yft" and "oraclec_hi.yft" and "oraclec.ytd" both texuture and lo and hi model files

only way to make  your own is to copy a default one from a car you want to edit and mess around with it... I am sure there is probably some kind of list as to what each line is or does, but I dont know where that would be... maybe some gta v wiki or something

If you use oraclec in the handlingid line of the vehicles.meta you will need to create it in the handling meta file, so is better to use a handling from a vehicle already in game.

ok I'm starting to understand. so if I wanted give oracle its own handling I would have to use the handling.meta plus the carvariations.meta and vehicle.meta. but if I copy the oracle handling line and paste it into the vehicles.meta in the mpchristmas2 dlc and it to oraclec does this mean I only have to use vehicles.meta and carvariations.meta?

yes, because it means you are using a handling that already exist, so you dont need to create more (same for sounds and other stuff of the vehicles.meta)

So, Using oracle handling: just need to edit vehicles and carvariations meta files

Using oraclec handling: you need to edit the vehicles and carvariations meta files as before and also create the oraclec handling in order to adding it to the vehicles meta

So I use to choose the first option ;)
