GTA V + The Sims = Amazing Game Concept

Featured Replies

I really enjoy being creative and coming up with new ideas that others can enjoy. I have been playing video games on a computer since I can remember (literally it's one of my earliest memories). The possibilities for gaming are endless, as we have seen just over the last decade. As I was playing GTA V the other day, I thought, "Wouldn't it be awesome if they came out with a game with GTA's gameplay and mixed with the life simulation of The Sims," with that initial idea in mind, I began to expand on it.

The Synopsis:

At the beginning of the game, your character appears on screen and you can began tweaking he/she to your liking. Everything from the facial structure, body type, hair, personality, etc. Once you finish, it brings you to your birth and you must go through a tutorial phase of the game in which you are growing up. Here is where you can decide your lifestyle! Perhaps one of the scenarios in the tutorial is you as a elementry school child, hanging out on the playground and a bully begins to mess with a kid. From here, the game leaves you with the option to join in and harass the poor kid or stand up to the bully. This would implement a very interesting feature for each player to bring his character to life in this virtual world. As you grow older through the tutorial phase, you can decide to finish high school, drop out, go to college, etc. Thus, opening up new forms of jobs to the character as they finish. Obviously if you decide to go on to college, you can choose your characters major and based on your stats in the character creation depends on how well you did in school. Once you finish the tutorial, you are released to the immersive world to start playing. The whole idea is Grand Theft Auto gameplay with The Sims concepts.

Ideas and Key Features:

* Lifestyle Choices (Character stats: Health, moral choices, income, how many crimes you commit, drug or alcohol addictions, tobacco use, etc)

* Numerous jobs (Do you choose to be a criminal? Maybe you decide to become a police officer or a firefighter? Or become a multi-millionaire CEO scumbag! Why not try to be mayor of the town?)

* Implement the LCPDFR system along with a ranking and division system

* A huge open world map in a beautiful metropolitan city. (Not San Andreas or Liberty City)
* Fluctuating crime rates throughout the world
* Real estate, clothes shopping, gym, tattoos, barber shops, car dealerships, etc

* Settle down and get married and start a family. Or don't and have multiple relationships and play the field.

* Implement the same character switching from GTA V and switch to different family members, go out to dinner, go to the beach, tons of family activities.
* If you choose the criminal side then your character could get involved in robberies, murder, heist, drug dealing, arms trafficking, become a pimp. The possibilities are endless!
* Support game mods
* Possibly an online MP where you and your friends can live in the same neighborhoods or across town, hang out, enjoy your days off from work, or gangbang together.

These are just a few ideas I've thought up and I wanted to share this game concept with you guys. What do you think of this? Would you play? Put in your ideas and something you would think would be cool!

Good idea! I would play that! But what point of view would it be in? First Person, Third, or kinda Top Down like The Sims? So it's kinda a mix of GTA, LCPDFR, The Sims, and "Choose Your Own Adventure" books? Not bad.

I would love to have the switchable 1st person or 3rd person option! But yeah a mix of all those games, even with concepts of the game Fable would be sweet!

Yeah, I had this same idea years ago! I always thought this seemed like an awesome concept, the simulation of the Sims mixed with the freedom of GTA. I got really into the idea when I was younger and even drew up some maps of the cities I wanted in it :P And I threw together lists of the cars I wanted in it, and even laid out a whole control scheme for the game. I'd love to see a game like this become reality, the possibilities with something like this are endless!

Hahah that's cool! I'd actually love to play in a pretty normal suburb city. You know? Like have a major downtown area right in the center of the county and then just a bunch of commercial, residential, and a few industrial suburbs around that. Maybe a beach or country backroads. Just normal hahah.

Yeah that'd be great! I'd love to just live in the city for a while, then move out to the suburbs and settle down with a family. Then commute into the city on some highway cutting through the woods to go shopping or to work. I hope somebody eventually expands on the idea the Sims is working with right now, if they did it right it could be great. And with all the different jobs you could have (firefighter, police, criminal, etc.) this single game could attract fans of a lot of genres.

Oh yeah absolutely! Like you said, if it was done correctly, I feel like not only would it attract many different fans but, also sell a lot of copies. I'd probably have a hard time leaving my room hahah.
