New Police Vehicles technology!

Featured Replies

There is a new police pursuit technology that is used to prevent police chases and still catch the suspect with out having a wild chase in public. (Here) is a video that shows a small "cannon" shooting a small tracker to the suspects vehicle. It tracks the vehicle as the police is able to stop the pursuit and the suspects most likely will slow down and blend in with traffic. I think lcpdfr should add it and you don't lose the suspect until a certain amount of time when they find out and take it off.

very interesting technology. seems to be very simple, but it is perfect.
I think in lcpdfr do it will be difficult. but hopefully the developers will pay attention. Very good idea.

This is interesting, indeed. However, I really don't think LCPDFR needs this because 1) You already have radar and 2) It would defeat the purpose of keeping up with a suspect, and they wouldn't just stop, get out, and take off the tracker while they're being hunted by the cops. Not to mention the sheer technical limitations of GTA IV. It's also not very realistic considering that this looks like it's still just a proof of concept, and I'll bet it hasn't really done anything extraordinary. You wouldn't see the NYPD or LAPD installing this on their cars anytime soon.

Don't hold your breath, is what I'm saying.

Real word suspects will slow down eventually to take a leak, refill their car, have a hamburger, GTA IV suspects won't ;)

Gameplay-wise it will be the same red blip on he radar, which you'll have only to follow...

Oh, some I'm just gonna pull my self into some rest stop, not minding anything, especially not a magnetic projectile hanging off of my trunk, beeping meanwhile I have a warrant for my arrest and the dispatcher already gave officers my location!

Some modders already have this made, I and a few others have it just don't use it much

well like i seen before, if you lose sight of the suspect and he is off your normal radar (not when you zoom out when you press down on the controller). So after like so long it could say that the suspect has found and removed the tracker. Then he disappears off of your radar and then after so long you end the chase like normal. but yes i see how it can  be a little hard to script, and also the car would need the box on the grill to make it look legit. Hey its thought!

I Have to agree here. With that price tag, This would just be something they wouldn't be interested in unless they are installing it on a car made for pursuits.

Gameplay wise, It'd be cool. But it's something i would want in V rather than IV.
