I downloaded LCPDFR from the website. I also downloaded the required things like .NET and that stuff and then when I started the installation process it got to the installation progress and it says installation error. It gives me a code type thing that is posted below and says to post it to the website for support. Please help me!

This has been solved before, you can probably use the search function.

It's caused by either not running the installer with admin permissions, installing to the wrong folder or your GTA folder/subfolders being read-only.

If this is beyond you, not installing the tazer will fix this error.

Ok I just tried to get into the actual game and it throws up an error message and wont even start the game! Can you please help me below is the error message

Run the game as Administrator.

I ran it as administrator and it gave me the same error message but it also brought up a message about DEP. Is there a way to fix this?

I just want to make sure were on the same page, Your running the GAME (LaunchGTAIV.exe) as admin correct? Its located in your game directory.

Yes I ran the launch file as administrator and got the same error message and i tried to disable the dep but for some reason it did not work

Hmm, It would apear the download is not working for me as well, I will speak with Sam or Jay about this issue to get it resolved,

Also, Your LCPDFR.log is located in your GTA IV Directory.

Yeah that download has been out of action for a while. The new download link is available in my signature......

EDIT: Great, that one is down too. Give me a minute I'll try to upload a copy to media fire as long a a member of staff says it's ok.

The download is okay now, my network was down from 07:00 to 14:00 GMT.

Yes there is, its plastered all over the forums. "Run as administrator"
