Featured Replies

I been searching online for a radio mod on foot only!

Yes, I have seen the one for in-car radio mod but isn't there one for on foot?

If there is please link me :)

Thanks :D

Probably is. It'd just be using the same mechanics and sounds as when you're in your car.

No, there is not currently one available; but you can listen to a police scanner on Broadcastify to add realism, if you want.

Good to know. Wondering if it's possible to make one I am willing to but not sure.

I will figure out something, if I can get it to development and also would need people to help because I am still learning how to mod.

Might make a separate thread to this so people can help.

Actually, were you thinking of having the same callouts on foot as when you're in a car or specific callouts that you could easily respond to on foot? That could be a little more difficult.

No callouts, it's a a police radio mod (on-foot) like you would have a radio on your clip-on belt.

So just sounds. That's simple enough.

Mhm, all I need to know Is how to add the sounds on foot and maybe add different channels so the user can switch channels and have it's own radio display on the screen by hitting on a key.

This, I am interested in deeply. An on-foot radio with an actual object on the shoulder/clipped on belt and when responding, you actually lean your head to your shoulder/pull it from belt and speak, and the details come in as it's still in your hand. I understand it's difficult (I've tried modding...TRIED) but it's possible. Good luck with this!

Thanks, the things that I will include is a clip on belt radio with actual radio, radio channels to switch, a user interface with radio display so you can choose what channels you want to listen to.

What you just said about leaning on to your shoulder would be tricky but I will give it my best shot on creating an animation for that (hopefully).

Going to start working on this tomorrow :D

Will make a thread for updates on development etc.

Simple Native Trainer has a 'Mobile Radio' option. That allows for you to listen to the radio whilst on foot. In doing so, that would achieve a partial result.

Cheers.

Oh my god, if only. Maybe in V.

Oh my god, if only. Maybe in V.

Heh, yea probably. I mean considering how unstable GTA4 becomes with a few scripts and car mods. V looks a lot more promising from how it went from old gen to the next gen consoles. They better be saving the best for last!

I wish there was a on-foot radio

I would create one but I have decided not to since I have a lot of studying to do and my GCSE's are really close. I would love to make this mod but it would take more time since I am a noob at modding.

If I was an experienced modder then I would not have a problem making this.

As someone mentioned earlier, you can use a radio on foot by Simple Native Trainer.

My game crashes when I use S.N.T unfortunately

If you crash an unfortunate option would be to do a clean uninstall of the game then re installing it,

Do not overload too many scripts installed in your GTA IV game. This will cause the game to crash.

Any other assistance please create a new thread about SNT crash. You'll get help there.

Its fine i'm not too worried about SNT I'd only use it for cleaning and fixing my car, and someone a long time ago created a Fix/clean script and you only have to click a certain button so I'm all set.
