Just look at some predicted system requirements online. I just found a couple, but you have to estimate yourself since you know your own pc specs :)

I don't see any reason to pre-order the game at all. Excited? Yes.

The predicted ones are most likely fake, I highly doubt the PC version will be 20-30 GB When the PS4 and Xbox One version was like 50-60 gigs

 

God, my hard drive is small too.. my hard drive for games is only 74 gigs :O

I don't know if my computer could handle it. I'd still buy it if it were on sale, though.

I don't get why people are saying they are going to wait to buy the game for the LCPDFR mod for V. Correct me if I am wrong here, but I didn't think people even knew to what extent GTA V was moddable, if even at all for PC. Yes Sam and the team will probably work their arses off to get a mod  working, but again correct me if I am wrong, I don't expect there to be an LCPDFR mod for V for a bit of time after the release. I'm not saying there won't ever be one, but I didn't think that they were going to release a mod directly after release.

 

Not everyone cares about GTA V for the same reason.  

 

Some people will care only about story.  Some will only care about sandbox potential.  And some will only play if it has a unique idea,  like being a police officer/emergency personnel.

 

So why would someone buy something that doesn't cater to what they are looking for in a game..

 

 

My personal example is GTA IV.  

- [ Indifferent ] - The story I didn't care about,  but I thought it was okay after playing through.  

- [ Bad ] - The sandbox element was really bland to me.  Big city,  neighbourhoods and concrete everywhere.

- [ Good ] - I bought GTA IV specifically for the police mod because there is nothing like it.  And it isn't giving me any other reason to.

 

(The Swat games are great,  but it was created around set pieces,  specific scenarios and locations.  The combination of police gameplay and open world nature made GTA IV + LCPDFR something freaking else.)

 

Now the matter of GTA V.  

- [ Good ] - I avoided most story spoilers so far and the game seems fun to romp through at least once.

- [ Good ] - Amazing looking open world with variety.  A big city/downtown to drive through or small little towns.  Wilderness,  dusty mountain trails contrasted to lots of highways,  large airports/military installations.

- [ Icing on the cake ] - Police mod for GTA V.  I honestly don't care if it happens.  This time around it has enough of what I am interested in.  The core of the game is looking really strong to me.  If it had a LCPDFR mod as well,  then I won't need to play any other games for a few years.     

I've preordered it here for the UK, from Games. In all honesty the only reason I bought it was for LCPDFR, a CHP crown vic in GTA V? Too good to imagine, how much fun I'll have!

Getting a new PC and monitor specifically for GTA V myself, I'm spending around £1500 on the PC I just hope that'd be enough to get decent performance out of the game.

Video card crapped out over the summer and I had to get an early replacement.  That means not the card I wanted at the time..

 

Thinking about what the system requirements could be is not fun at all.

Waiting on the new PC to come in, i5 and a GTX 970 to boot! I'm shelling out $900 or so so I can enjoy GTA V/GTA IV LS/LCPD:FR to the fullest, and even if LSPD:FR doesn't happen for a while, the consoles already proved how easy it was to modify single player characters to cop models complete with them not shooting you.

I preorder mine last week in store for the cost of $89.90 AUD and I c an't wait till march (bad timing) March is the month that I'm moving away. And I have the computer to run it on high settings with no problems.

 

What I need is an gaming laptop to go with my gaming desktop

I'm not pre-ordering it, I'm gunna wait to see if any good mods and stuff come out for it first, or if Online is less crap.

 

If they offer to transfer my character off my 360 version to GTA Online on PC I might be tempted enough to buy it, but I definitely won't be pre-ordering it.

TBH if the game is ported over correctly it probably will run better than GTA IV does hahaha, I don't know if i'll pre-order it until it's confirmed that LSPDFR will be on V
