Ending Pursuits.

Featured Replies

I was just thinking the other day in a pursuit on GTA IV, I wished that there was an end pursuit feature. This would be used if the pursuit was too dangerous and endangered the public. It seems simple enough, although I really don't know. Also if you end the pursuit, that car and driver will pop up later in your patrol and you ensue chase again if you try to pull him over again. I'm not sure if this was already suggested but I think it would be cool.

If you haven't already noticed, the LCPD doesn't exactly give a shit about public safety.

From a realism standpoint, it's a cool idea though.

Haha! Yeah I know, But this would add a bit more realism. Also it would get people out of an annoying pursuit.

This is a good idea. And there have been times where I a pursuit just goes to hell glitch-wise and I just want to end it, and this applies to pretty much all callouts. Like many callout mods for LCPDFR, I think it would be nice to be able to press the "End" key to just end a callout. Very useful.

As far as seeing the suspect later after ending a pursuit, I think that might be too difficult coding-wise and imo not too necessary, but an added bonus.

I was just thinking about this last night.

This would definitely be needed as there have been a few times where the pursuit has gotten way to dangerous (IRL it would've been abandoned), It seems realistic to have this feature.

I've suggested this in another suggestion before, There should be a feature to end the pursuit via the QAM Menu, not just for OP's reason but in my case backup tends to endlessly come until the suspect is in custody, even if they are in cuffs. I.E: If your partner arrests someone OR you call for prisoner transport, the pursuit isn't considered over until they're in the police-car. This should happen earlier, like when they are in cuffs.

Good idea though, I really hope its implemented.

Yeah the tsunami of cop cars flowing down the street destroying everything and everyone in sight could not be bothered to terminate pursuit.

Good idea. Although sometimes when I allowed lethal force with 1.0c with F8 the cops managed to end it themselves by showering the criminal with bullets, you can always try that.

I haven't figured out lethal force yet so I have to pray either I catch up to them or they fly over the bridge into the river :/
