Lizard Squad has just now taken down the Xbox website. They state several times on twitter that they plan on keeping the systems down as long as they possibly can. What's laughable are the responses that these companies have been putting out, such as "Our engineers are currently investigating the situation" as though it isn't already obvious what the issue is. I've inked Lizard Squad's twitter below, as they continue to post and take things down as their own will. This is quite pathetic on the part of Microsoft and Sony.

It's entirely the fault of the companies. If they were smaller businesses I could maybe feel some sympathy to them, but the fact these are companies that could very easily throw away $20 million on DDoS protection this is completely ridculous.

I couldn't have said it any better myself. I put most of the blame on these million dollar companies. How the hell are these companies, from Xbox to EA, getting taken down so easily? It's ridiculous and the consumer base shouldn't have to deal with it. "Our engineers are investigating the situation". I actually laughed at that, like come on.

Pretty much this^. Seems like LulzSec imitators without the actual exploitation and infiltration of websites and editing. Pretty much anyone can get to this level of a net with enough money. Some may consider this funny (I laughed at first) but I sorta feel bad for the kids who get some games for Christmas and they can't even play them online because some skids wanted to have a laugh.

A lot of their posts up until now, ask for 3,000 Re-tweets if you want PSN back up, and also things like RT for XBOX & FAV for PSN.

I agree with you, and its fustrating how people waste their time doing this crap, and there is no reason in the world to do this, i dont support this but if your going to do this only do this or don't even do this all. really if you got this much time go out in public and see what skills you don't have that other do,sitting behind a screen and trashing these servers that have done nothing to you.apart from publicity(that they have) what is the point of this.so Just Stop.(Please don't ban for anything I said. i am just giving my opinion on this matter)

That's their strategy, which pisses me off. They ask for followers and when they meet their goal, they delete the post and post something similar. They continuously do this and rack up followers because people actually believe in that crap.

Its not like knowing how to partake in DDoS attacks requires much knowledge, it just requires some spoilt brat with some money to fund the attacks. However recently it seems Anonymous has said they are going to be dealing with Lizard Squad, this was on AnonHq and two of the confirmed videos where uploaded on that site.

when i was a kid we never put up with this nonsense but thats when pc online came out and people could semi exploit but it wasnt the way it is now which is out of control. im glad i got rid of xbox live and this is one of the very reasons. the level of maturity these people exbuerate is  clearly shown by there selfish actions its out of control parents should invest in parental controls and i swear half if not all things would stop and people would thank them.
