TAMPA, Fla. — Between five to seven suffered minor injuries as the result of a lightning strike outside Raymond James Stadium on Sunday just as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers game ended, according to Tampa Fire and Rescue.

The Associated Press reported that officials with Tampa Fire Rescue say seven people have been taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

I had a friend in middle/high school that was indirectly struck by lightning (it hit a tree across the street, and traveled through the ground) in 2007, right before the end of the school year. He has permanent nerve damage, and it ruined his lifelong dream of becoming a US Marine. I think I remember him saying he was "dead" for about 12 minutes before they revived him in the hospital. Correction - they revived him in the car on the way to the hospital.

He did have a really cool cane in 8th grade though.
