Ah. Its a all ELS Glitch as Justin posted. I've been looking into it for the ELS versions, and there will soon be a newer release of the ELS mod, I just don't know what and when. But it'll be some time from now though.....hopefully it will patch up this glitch. :D

Um, there will be another version soon? I'd hate to burst your bubble, but the creator of ELS is no longer in the modding scene... Also with the ELS system, I don't think it is possible to "fix" this. This is because of how ELS works:

When you hit the key to turn on the 'lights,' it causes the car model to reload very rapidly, each time loading a different 'extra,' which is the light texture.

But, when a car loads, it also has to randomly load one of these extras, even though the lights aren't on. The thing with the AI is they cannot turn the lights on and off to correct it.

You can try and use 'ELS Fix' to shut their lights off by rapidly hitting the 'lights on' button. It forces them to turn it on, at which time the AI cops immediately turn it off if they're not chasing after someone. I find that it's a waste of time though and may flood the game engine with more script commands than needed. This also belongs in the content modifications section. Moving.

Hi Im new to this so sorry in advance how do I turn my lights off I have tryed what I think are the ony bottons to press. when I put the siren on the light dont work the just stay like the ones on the picture. they did work on the game stock cars but i dont know how to get these back. curently using a bmw, and a astra if this helps

Here are the default keys for ELS:

J: Primary Lights On/Off

K: Secondary Lights On/Off

L: Takedown Lights On/Off

G: Horn/Siren

Way to fix this and have both the Trainer and ELS is go into the trainer (f3) > Options

Then on page 1 I think, select Enable/Disable Keys

Now you should be able to use ELS too without having the buttons used for the trainer. Hope it helps.
