Anti-Islam Marches In Germany

Featured Replies

Why haven't Muslims stood up and declared themselves separate from ISIS, or these terror groups?

I don't want to add more fuel to the fire, but if that's what you think, then you've definitely missed something:

I guess it's just much less interesting (or should I say "entertaining") for the media than Muslim terrorists beheading people and killing children.

Are people really this ignorant to believe that all Muslims are terrorists? Come on people wake up, it is only a small majority of this religion that are extremists. Meaning not all Muslims are terror

  • You have a funny reading of "wage war" to think it necessarily includes every single person who disagrees with the teachings of a religion. Also, you're saying that Islam is somehow inherently differ

You hold your opinion high yet you still provide no strong defense? I'm still waiting for you to provide a valid defense for Islam.

Me and several people already provided you with a few arguments. But I'll repeat it a last time. There's a difference between a BELIEVER, and a FANATIC. There's a difference between someone practicing their religion peacefully (99% OF THE WORLD) and a bunch of crazy EXTREMISTS using religion as an excuse to watch the world burn.

If you are part of the people mixing both without making a difference, then I'm afraid I and the others can't do really much for you.

Thank you for the link, though this can be an entirely separate discussion on how Muslims "aren't taking enough action" to stop the spread of Islamic terror.

The interesting part about your opinion is that you disregard mine. You ignore my arguments and announce yours as though I never said anything. You still have yet to address MY arguments, and I've addressed yours several times in different discussions.

And... Yep, thus is officially a religion discussing topic, dont get me wrong when i said that islams are "bunch of fucked up people ..." I was not saying that to those people that are JUST islams, i was refering to extremists that always take it too far, each one of us has The right to believe in whatever we want, but we also have to respect other people beliefs, so, said that, we cannot just kill inocents because "my religion is right yours isn't"

Islam means submission and obedience and it derives from the word "peace" , in better terms it means that you have to submit and obey god.  Christianity comes from the Greek word "Christianos" which derives from the word "Christos" which means the anointed one basically meaning a follower of Jesus of Nazareth.

However you interpret it all religions have the same basic structure, follow the teachings of god and live a good life,  Both Jesus and Allah teach peace and any sins will be punished. So killing people and using course language it out of the question. Now there is bad people in every walk of life, bad cops bad teachers even bad parents. There is a select few Radical preachers who teach the younger generation of Muslims and Islamist's that the world is better of without the other religions. that's why you have ISIS and All the other terrorist organisations.

However yes the Quran dose have about 106 testaments calling Muslims to arms against the infidels (non believers) but these testaments are open ended meaning they are a open part of Allah's open and unchanging world, which means its just as much of a relevant subject as any other. Most Muslims i know exercise restraint against Infidels (non believers).

At the end of the day the Quran dose spell out testaments of graphic murder of non believers however The vast quantity of Muslims Chose to ignore this as the most graphic testaments were written in the old testament and if you look closely and read some of the chapters in the Quran you will find that most of the graphic descriptions on killing Infidels was written for the battle of Badr or " the period of revelation", Allah commands the angels to fight for the believers.

At the end of the day just as i respect your opinion on the matter i should expect you as a human to humble any Muslims you come across. Islam is the religion of peace and its only a small number of Radical jihadists who spoil it.

The word for people who hate Islamist's are Islamophobes and its just as bad as being a Homophobic.

Respect your fellow man whatever he believes.

I agree with everything but this, as it's an opinionated subject separate from this one.

To anyone who says Islam is not a harsh religion, try reading the Quran. It becomes a lot harder to defend once you've read the text. I've you've not read the Quran, try reading what it has to say about violence.
You cannot use the intepretation defense that you can do in Christianity, for the fact that you are discouraged in Islam to make your own intepretations and just read the text verbatim and listen to scholars.

I'm not defending Christianity, and I quite think that all religion is a problem, but I honestly don't think we should be encouraging any third-world views of the world.

Edit: I should probably mention, I am not against anything which doesn't hurt someone, or encourages people to hurt someone.

If you hate Islamic people you are an Islamaphobe. nothing more nothing less. i was using the Homophobic argument to emphasis how much it is fround upon in today society to judge people.

A phobia is a fear and usually a diagnosed disease or mental disorder. There is no real mental disorder called "Islamaphobia" or "Homophobia". These are both made up terms to label people who have their own opinion. I have no problem with Islam, but that give you no right to call someone this. Same with Gay people. Just because I disagree with it, doesn't mean I am scared of it, a phobia.

F*ck it, IMO its a waste of time. There are so many opinions, and none of them are right or wrong.

It's a complicated issue.

Thank you, same with me, i just don't care about religion, also to others, please stop hating on Islam and respects each others belief.

I'll just leave a few Bible verses here. Sorry for the different fonts, these are copy/pasted.

Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed.  (Exodus 22:19)

They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.  (2 Chronicles 15:12-13)

Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods.  In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully.  If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock.  Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it.  Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God.  That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt.  Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction.  Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you.  He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors.  "The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him."  (Deuteronomy 13:13-19)

If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him.  Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you.  You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery.  And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst.  (Deuteronomy 13:7-12)

Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which I have strictly forbidden.  When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death.  (Deuteronomy 17:2-5)

Are people really this ignorant to believe that all Muslims are terrorists? Come on people wake up, it is only a small majority of this religion that are extremists. Meaning not all Muslims are terrorists, and not all terrorists are muslim.

Finally, someone here with some common fucking sense who isn't a one-sided, ignorant idiot.

This is why I say that you can't generalize the entire bible to represent Christianity. Each of these verses you've posted are from the Old Testament, which is before Jesus Christ. Christians believe in both the Old Testament and the New Testament, but follow the New Testament. Judaism follows only the Old Testament. This is the difference in Christianity and Judaism, so please don't take verses from the Old Testament and apply it to all of Christianity, because that just simply isn't true. Jesus Christ taught contradictory to what the Old Testament said. If anything, you're representing Judaism with these verses, not Christianity.

Sir, I salute you for having the courage to do this research. Maybe it'll bring some sense into people's heads and stop them from hating and making generalizations based on the acts of just a couple crazy dudes.

This is actually kinda funny now. You make comments and agree with other people, but because of your own ignorance you refrain from posting anything further than what you've already been proven wrong on.

This is why I say that you can't generalize the entire bible to represent Christianity.

You cannot generalize the entire bible to represent Christianity but you can generalize the Quran and a minority of people's actions to represent Muslims? Seems like a bit of a double standard to me.

Because the bible is clearly differentiated between two modern day separate religions. The Qu'ran only applies to Islam, if I'm not mistake, which I may be.

I indeed make comments and agree with other people for bringing more evidences of what we are all stating already, I don't think this is forbidden. As for my own ignorance, I stated a simple fact that is a truth for everyone, like saying that 2+2=4 and you deny it, I don't see what else I should add to try and convince you since you are pretty stubborn.

I stated several times that you are making a generalization based on the acts of just a couple of completely crazy persons. You judge a whole religion just because some fanatics use religion as an excuse to justify their actions. But tell me, do you EVER try to put yourself in other people's shoes? Like, if tomorrow a huge terrorist attack occured in a middle west country and that a fanatic branch of the christianity claimed to be the authors, would you say that people are right to bash over your religion instead of on the actual criminals? Would you appreciate that people practicing your religion, including you, would be persecuted only because of the actions of a few extremists cells? I doubt so, you'd try to defend your religion, claiming it's a peaceful one, even though someone a few posts ago posted quotes from the Bible that are quite cruel and violent.

My point is there, nothing to add. If you disagree, I don't see why I should bother myself answering.

Your example is invalid, because the bible doesn't command Christians to kill innocent people, so your example would probably never happen lol. I wouldn't say that I'm stubborn, I'd say that I have very strong views on the subject.

I also addressed those quotes from the bible, which you clearly haven't read my comment on as usual. Seems like with you you pick and choose which comments you want to read and agree with. It's not just you though, its a lot of others participating in this discussion. They pick and choose what they want to read, what they want to argue about, and dismiss anything else. This is why the debate can never end, because people don't address the entire argument.

When someone disagrees with your point, then it's up to you to defend your point. Just giving up and accepting defeat so miserably doesn't make your opinion appear to have any value.
