Random Npc Pullovers

Featured Replies

Has any one else noticed random Npc Pullovers? I was just asking cause I witnessed it just recently playing. I dont know if it was added in the new version but I just saw it for the first time in the many years Ive been playing this mod.

If it is new, just wanna say its awesome. I randomly saw a cop pullover a car and the suspect took off as the officer walked to the window.

Just want to say you guys still out do yourselves with this mod..great work!

Indeed, it's added into LCPDFR 1.0 and also present in the vanilla game :)

Yea. I know in the vanilla game they make stops but they are sort of pre-planed with the same script. How ever in LCPDFR your camera shifts to the pull over generating a random outcome everytime there is a pull over. Its great!

Any way to make that happen more often? Ive never seen it done lol.

I'm not aware of a variable you can edit specifically for that, but then again I've never looked.

is there a specific area where they happen, or is it random? i've only ever seen it done once.

It's randomly generated. In my experience it's fairly rare, although I was present for two AI pullovers tonight, the second of which resulted in me chasing the person. It was pretty cool, actually. The AI officer was just approaching the window with his weapon drawn, and I rolled up behind the AI cops car, hit the AI drivers car with my bright lights and as soon as I stepped out, the AI driver took off. I managed to beat the AI cop back into my car so I took pursuit lead and the chase was on! Very COPS-esque. I do wish they happened more often sometimes.

It happened twice in one playthrough in leftwood/alderney city. The first time a cop pulled over a van, cooperated, and then left. The second time, the officer pulled over the car, walked to the window, and the suspect took off, in which the officer cursed him out and got back in a pursuit started.

Im pretty sure there is a way to enhance this by doing some of your own scripting with the tools the lcpdfr team left us with. How ever I would love to have a variable that increased these odds.

I haven't experienced this at all I am excited for this though, cool deal dev team!

You have seen the static, pre-spawned vehicle stop near middle park though?

Not the same thing as watching the pull over happen.  But pretty neat things still happen.  i had a car chase go by that area and i was hanging back due to the high speeds.   The suspect zooms by and that npc cop stops looking at the vehicle he pulled over and sees all this and 2 cvpi right on the suspect's tail.  He darts for his vehicle as i pass him and joins the pursuit right behind me.

(smokey and the bandit level funny)

Yes I have seen that one but he never moves he just walks up to the window and chats

Let the good times roll

I had one happen one time in an alley. Poor cop wound up getting shot.
