  • Update to this thread. I am no longer in the reserve program with my agency and have switched over to full time. I can no longer continue my contributions to the GTA community. I will not be returning

  • ^ Never noticed it.

You can easily reduce the .wtd size yourself using openIV. Just extract all the textures in the file, open the non essential ones in an editing program and resize them down. This is what I do with things like massive interior textures etc.

Wow thanks, I never thought of that. I always used SparkIV. I hope it won't mess up the texture alignment on the car though.

So any chance for you to fix the materials on the LAPD Gang Unit crown vic? Or can we expect more LAPD vehicles from you?

EDIT:

Just a small bug I noticed with the 2006 generation Impala, that the rear indicators are in the place where the reverse lights are and they should be the tail lights, like in this video:

"I'm pretty excited for this charger, however, got a feeling charger's are going to get old fast just so many crown vic model's :("

That's why I am not releasing too many of these Chargers so soon.

What materials are you referring to?

"Or can we expect more LAPD vehicles from you"

I can't think of any LAPD vehicles that haven't already been done.

If you want the indicators to be the same as the tail lights, then I would have to delete the rear indicators that it is using now. The problem I think is that the hazards are different from the indicators. That would not be possible as GTA IV has the indicators and hazards set up the same. Your choice if you want me to set it up that way.

"I sure hope he does. I'm dying for an LAPD Crown Victoria with the lightbar from EVI's LAPD Impala.

You don't think there are enough LAPD CVPI's? I don't know how realistic they are, but I will consider it.

For NY/LC fans, I saw something interesting.

Emergency Service Truck, City of New York Correction Department, Fort Lee NJ

What do you think of that?

Not enough with your attention to detail!

Well, yes there are many. But none of them are realistic, or have steady burns (at least to the quality of EVI's). With the slow traffic advisors going on with the main.

@EVI: You just increased my heart rate by saying you're considering it, that would be very awsome if you did it. I would love you forever and ever. I would kill someone for it!

An 06 Chevy tahoe supervisor unit or one of their 06 SWAT Tahoes would be epic, and we haven't seen any of them in GTA IV.

There are more than enough, but not with the same light setup as your Impala. One of the only reasons why I don't use LAPD units anymore is because its not realistic for the cars to respond with no rear TA flashing. Also, a proper slicktop cvpi would be awesome, with the same light setup as Bug's UC car but with a honeycomb grill and spotlights. An older slicktopwith only the steady burn red light at front would be epic also.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

One from that 80's movie Colors would be epic too.

Those old gang units were awsome, with those red scoop lights. (@1:21 in video)

But If EVI can only handle one request, I would say he should do a Vic with that Impala setup.

All I know is this Charger looks amazing and I don't think I or anyone else can thank him enough for the numerous hours he's put into all his excellent projects. Great work on all your projects and keep it up!

Imo the Impala uses the same lights for indicators as for hazards, since I haven't seen a car that has different indicators and hazards.

Anyway I gotta say +1 for a new LAPD vic, bugz's is pretty good, but it has a few quite weird bugs.

Also this is what I meant with the material bug. I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this, but half of the body paint seems matte:

And the 2008 rims with the hubcaps look a bit bigger then the one they use. But the main problem is with the paint.

LAPD Crown Vic Slick Top

In the meantime thanks for all your mods, they are great :D

I'm wiggling in my chair like I'm going to...Nevermind. This is awesome. I mean awesome. Yeah. Awesome. It's hot. Awesome too. Sorry, it's cool. EVI, your cars are hot, but I'm not sure how hot you are in the outside world. I like your cars, they're cool. Especially the Vic. Yeah...

Dear EVI,

The '12 Impala is looking so sexy and her figure so hot, that I'm about to go crazy; fappin' my balls empty. The only thing you forgot is to adorn her with a clip in her long flowing hair, i.e. a rambar like this:

I'll be really grateful and can even send you a pic of me kissing my monitor if you put a rambar like that on her.I didn't even bother to change one stock costume...er...texture on her. She's looking so killer gorgeous that I think I'm falling in love,day-by-day

I hope you'll read this and act soon.

currently love-stricken,

Dhruv

It looks very nice, but what's with the rear lights? They seem different then the other crown vics (I mean the tail lights, not the lightbar)

Anyway thanks for making it, it looks nice so far.

I haven't changed the tail lights. That's just the reflection due to my enb.

I also started this, default model with CVPI lights. It's going to be based on the GTA V livery shown in the trailer.
