Maby someone who can read the Diag report, can find the problem. And no, i wont patch my game to any newer than 1.0.4.0 since it just slows it down, and also the mod should work somehow.

sig.jpg

It should work fine with 1040. I can see what the problem is but there is no way in hell that it should be happening. Do you have any mods?

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

Sam, my theory is that once 1004 came out after 1040 the coding was drastically changed casing scripthook to be rewritten to match the coding, my thought is that the scripthook for 1070 is not very compatible with 1040

1040 is fully compatible, I used it myself a few weeks ago.

But back to my problem. Is it a known one? And Sam, you say you can see the problem... something you can explain?

For the love of god, patch either to 1.0.6.0 or 1.0.7.0. Or you also might have an corrupted savegame.

If you had read the thread properly you would know i wont patch it any higher since it gives me crap FPS, and no my savegame works perfectly fine since it only happens with LCPDFR. And since other 1.0.7.0 mods works on 1.0.4.0 it shouldnt be a big issue to get this to work.

So if Sam could let me know what problem he spotted in the Diag report, it would be nice.

Oh yes, use an older version of LCPD: FR?

Well... The newest versions of LCPD: FR as far as i remember right that is, does not work with the older versions of GTA IV.

I could be wrong though.

it better on 1060 or 1070, as for crap FPS...im on 1070....and i get 20-30 FPS

It might be better for you! But i get 40-50fps with 1.0.7.0. No kidding. :D

probably cuz you have something better than a gt240 as your GPU.....im not rich and cant buy 900 dollar gfx cards or a 3 thousand dollar computer like some of you people

Do you use Windows 7?

I use 7 64bit and the game worked better on my slower old Vista computer. I've heard some games are crappy on Win7. But thats the reason i dont use a newer patch, because for some reason those slows it right down.

sig.jpg

My current 9800GTX+ gets around 40FPS on fairly maxed settings, at around a 50 DD.

Though my card is a bit overclocked along with everything else on here (CPU, Memory, etc)

And the reason a lot of games work a bit slower on Vista/Win7 is because most people by default use things like the Aero interface, which in itself reserves a good 512MB-1GB of RAM, thus the reason a lot of games have slightly higher memory requirements as well as slightly different CPU requirements in some cases when placing difference on XP and Vista/Win7

Beyond that the actual performance should be absolutely similar unless your game is optimized for something like DirectX 11 (which does have pretty noticeable/significant pulls over DirectX 9 on XP)
