What Is The Worst Movie Police?

Featured Replies

What do you people think the worst police force in a movie is.

I reason the worst police force in a movie is the police in Die Hard. I mean they did well at securing the area but seriously, if one of your officers has been shot at with a military grade rifle and a dead body has fallen on your car, then why would you sent a light armoured vehicle that can be destroyed by a single rocket shell. Another stupid moment is sending the chopper up to the roof. Choppers are not immune to bullets. Half a clip of that LMG would take a Huey down if shot in the right spot. And worst of all, no suppersive fire or snippers? I mean come on there were plenty of tall buildings nearby and all of the troops could have been pinned down if suppressive fire was layer down.

So what movie do you guys think have a woeful police force and why are they so woeful.

The Dark Knight Rises. Let's send our ENTIRE police force into a tunnel against a masterfully clever villain.

Haha yeah, or what about that other bit at the police parade. Once a shot is fired half run away like cowards and the other half stand in the open with glock17's. They should have dove behind cars, not run away or aim up at the sky. Also with the tunnel scene is it just me or did they send in UNIFORMED OFFICERS in instead of swat teams? That's like telling auxiliary officers with no guns to deal with a guy who has a hostage.

End of Watch, that movie was so unrealistic and shitty in the first 5 minutes I turned it off and watched something else. Come on nobody just starts taking off their duty belt at a call and starts fighting with the suspect, you would lose your job because of that. That movie gave such a bad representation of police officers and made the whole profession look like shit.

you seriously need to read the reviews written by real police officers...

it is a movie, so it can't be 100% real, but no offense, how is the intro bad?

I don't care what real police officers have to say. I am sure they are reviewing it from the stand point of a movie not how, realistic it is, but for me that is something I can't stand because it fuels all the misconceptions that people have about police. Maybe for being a fictional movie it is good but I have found few police movies/TV shows that I can watch.

How is the intro bad? Are you kidding? Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to recall them being back on the job only a couple weeks after the shooting. I have never known any cop to get cleared to go back to work only a couple weeks after they shot and killed someone (who knows, maybe I'm wrong). The part that made me turn the movie off was immediately after that scene where they respond to a disturbance call of some sort and the suspect and the officer get into a pissing match with each other and the officer takes off his duty belt and just starts fist fighting and wrestling with the guy all because he said an insult. That would NEVER happen in the real world and anyone who would do that would probably be suspended or fired.

So like I said, maybe it is good for a fictional action thriller movie, but I don't think I would put it towards the top of my list of police movies to watch.

was meant to be funny, but realistically Super troopers were just the worst cops ever...  (a sequel is coming out soon (yay!))

Unpopular opinion probably, but I thought Super Troopers (Movie about the Vermont State Police) was one of the most outrageously fictitious and unfunny movies I have ever seen.

It's basically when civilians go all try hard and try to be cops be watching a couple TV Shows, it doesn't work.

EDIT: didn't see the other post about Super Troopers. I just didn't find it funny at all.

Yup, I agree. Looking at it as trying to be realistic, I absolutely hated it. But watching it for what it was, a dramatized cop action, I enjoyed it.  Plus, who doesn't love the very end of it?
