Spray non-stick stuff onto the pan or a thin coat of grease so they don't stick.

Yes, unless you have a nonstick pan.

I prefer having lard.

I don't trust non-stick pans, so I'd apply something to make sure it doesn't stick.

What you want is to get some grease-proof paper and line the pan with it. Then you would want to spread some butter or margarine onto the paper.

Okay guys I have another cooking question, when making macaroni and cheese and don't have any margarine, is it ok to use butter instead?

I think it tastes better with butter.
