Bring Down Chimpmania

Featured Replies

I don't know if many of you know of this site, but it is pure trash. ( http://chimpmania.com/forum/forum.php ) These people think they are all high and mighty because they are white, and they think they know everything.
This is not the case. All they can do is, is say racial slurs and hide behind their little keyboards. This site is a pure racism community and it should be taken down.

All the hate crimes and cyber-bulling needs to stop now, it's inhumane and not cool. People joke about this stuff but it's not cool to joke about.
So this Dallas woman started a petition on Change.org in attempt to bringing this site down, please join me in signing this petition:

Thanks guys!

Honestly, free speech is free speech and nothing will come of a petition to suppress free speech.

While free speech isn't intended for this, it is intended for unpopular opinions, and because of that it is impossible to shut US based sites down without slander involved.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

So you want to bring it down? So you give it more attention on a public forum?

Bravo, chap.

Yes I want to bring it down, and it seems like addressing the issue publicly has helped the petition reach it's goal.

All that petition is doing is giving it more attention, too. What do you think a petition to a bunch of racists is going to do? Make them reconsider their actions and say "okay we are very very wery sorry" and then shut the site down?

CloudFlare and vBulletin can't even do anything about this. CloudFlare is only a middle man, if CloudFlare stops proxying traffic for them (which they won't -- they are a massive advocate for free speech) then they'll use one of the other range of companies to proxy their site (or setup a VPS and do it themselves). vBulletin can't do jack crap, the software has been sold and they cannot do anything about the fact they are using software they have bought and paid for. Even if vBulletin revokes their license (which wouldn't happen), they could easily use an open source board like phpBB or SMF.

This may be true, but the site is morally wrong, and is disgust to the world wide web.

I completely agree with you, although I'm not sure what we can do about it to have any real impact.

As far as I know, someone is gonna have to DDoS the site to get them to stop.

I don't agree with their site like most others on here. That's our opinion, they have their opinion to say what they think even if  it may sound, seem or even be wrong. However I don't agree with breaking the law to take this site offline via DDoS attacks.

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

If they break the law by things they post, report the webpage to cops, they'll take action. If they harassed you or harmed in any other way, sue them. Other way... They have right to do this, like it was said before. Freedom of speech, u know, that kind,

As far as I know, someone is gonna have to DDoS the site to get them to stop.

Presumably, the reason they use CloudFlare is to protect themselves from people committing crimes against them to force them to stop exercising their right (assuming they're from the US) to free speech. DDoSing is in no way an acceptable reaction to speech; the proper response to people being terrible is not to decide all by yourself that these people don't get to speak. Even though you're right that they're being terrible.
