Okay, so the issue was Scroll Lock was on, so I re-installed ELS (again) because I was fiddling with the settings... now RAGE crashes when hitting F4 again... I think this is too unreliable, as it seems to crash or not crash using the same set of files. I'm sticking to non-ELS 😄

Hi, thank you for these. My RAGE is now working fine, but ELS still cannot be activated? Is there a driver of piece of software I might be missing?

Okay, now RAGE is crashing my game when I open it in F4 when I'm on foot, but no when I'm in a vehicle... Furthermore no keys seem to work for Emergency Lighting System... The settings file just has a bunch of numbers (such as 49, 50, 451) next to the functions... Do I need to change these to eg. F, Q, 1, 2, 3???

Hi all, I know this topic has come up alot. But after reading through ELS not working - Legacy - LCPDFR.com my ELS still will not load! No idea whats gone wrong. I had ELS working fine in September 2025. asiloader.log

If you're using Ultimate Backup it's customisable in the settings file. Not sure on the exact details, but by default it's like 3 car, 1 bike and a SWAT truck. Otherwise everything is usually customisable in the .ini files To add to that, some vehicles, especially over 12000mb, can cause crashes when not player spanked because there files are so big

Which loading screen? GTA one, RAGE one, or LSPDFR one? GTA one: Might be an issue with something you installed, check all files are in the correct place. Verify files if needed RAGE one: Try increasing the timeout limit to 60000 and ensuring no plugins, including LSPDFR, that when loading the game LSPDFR one: Re-install LSPDFR after deleting all files from previous download. Potentially an pack loading underneath LSPDFR is broken.

I may have missed something someone else said, but sometimes ELS files for vehicles can be courupt. You can use any ELS files with the intended vehicles as long as it's similar pattern and colour. I personally have had a few issues depending on the GTA version with ELS. So an option I would recommend is using non-ELS vehicles and add-on vehicles. Non-ELS is actually really easy to use if you know how. There are a few tutorials online.

That sounds like a great idea! Shame I can't put two solutions to this issue. 😄 Glad I'm not the only one. I've had issue in the past with the mod not working. And I hate how you can't use it offline.
