I did not back up my component ped files and do not simply want to reinstall my game. (I know, Stupid me!) does anyone know if I can i can get those anywhere or can someone give me the files I need? I need the M_Y_COP_ Files and _M_Y_STROOPER_P Files. Or if I could get the whole component ped files, That's fine by me. A big thanks to anyone who can help!

As far as I am aware, it's actually illegal to reupload files from the game. With that being said, you can still find copies online. Just Google "GTA IV original component peds" and I'm sure you'll find them. 

You can download an original copy online like Reibu said. You should've copied your whole game directory as soon as it was installed though, just remember that in future

Ah, I see I didnt think of that. my apologies. didnt mean any copyright. But crap I own a legal copy.  Oh well, reinstall it is! This is my first time modding. I Shall learn from this experience.

Without naming names, plenty of veteran members of this forum have violated that more than once, even against my direct objections. I'm glad you have LCPDFR's best interests in mind first rather than someone who doesn't want to put a DVD into a tray and wait 10 minutes.

For the original poster; someone willing to help can probably PM you and get you the necessary files without directly uploading them here, but it won't be me.

Not to be rude kind sir, Its not about the install and "waiting ten minutes"  as you say. Its about all the problems i had installing it AKA Windows 8, Various errors then getting LCPD:FR to work as you can see in my last posts. Its simply not as easy as you seem to say.

EDIT: And I do not want to violate LCPD:FR's terms and services or harm LCPD:FR in anyway for this post as you can see I am reinstalling it.

No rudeness detected. I understand mods may add on more time, but once you already have the configuration down, you'd be surprised how quickly you can put it back together. I'm sorry to hear Windows 8 gave GTA IV trouble on your end. Nothing wrong on my end. Keep calm and carry on.

If you use Steam, you can repair the game files while in Steam.  It will replace most the files with the original and you'll be good to go.  Works like a charm.

Like DrDetriot said, Steam gives you the ability to backup your entire game directory with just a few clicks, and it doesn't take anywhere near the same amount of time to restore the backup as it does to completely reinstall the game. Also with Steam, you can use the feature "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" which will analyze the game files and detect any problems. After detecting them, it *should* fix them for you.

I've been here before. that link provided has everything except the componentped.img file. Thanks for the help though. I found a mod for the M_Y_traffic

_cop that has the same cop  just with a vest on. That's fine by me and as for the cop, im using my Self made Ohio State Highway Patrol model. A big thanks to all that helped. It is greatly appreciated!
