Hello,

sometimes when I pull over somebody, the person has a weapon and starts shooting when I'm next to the window. I have hardcore mode enabled and I've got a realism mod, so it needs just 2 or 3 shots to kill somebody and in this time I can't do anything. So, how do you handle such a situation?

Run the hell into cover and unload into the car with your service pistol.

Call in backup, use your sidearm officer. 

If someone does pull a gun on you, quickly press the cover button I think it's "Q", but it can get you out of dodge rather quickly. It's saved me a number of times.

Might want to take a partner with you aswell.. when i take a partner and get shot at he is already shooting at the suspects.

 

All my partners have save my ass more times than i can count, they're really useful in 1.0 unlike 0.95. they have their guns already aimed at the driver as soon as your partner gets out of his cruiser... so he doesn't miss.

Shoot it with an RPG, but seriously, shoot the guy until he is dead and find cover at the same time.

When that happens to me I just run fast as hell back to my cruiser hide behind the driver door and shoot until everything's silent.

I just die.

As I said, I can't just run away. When I get hit I can't do anything for a moment and when before that's over he's shooting again. And I don't really like a partner, because they also don't have one in real life that often.

First off you must approach the car with your sidearm out and ready, then the second you see them move you must shoot! This is what I do and I survive 85% of the time. I also have hardcore mode and realistic ballistic physics in may game. Here are two videos where I get shot at and survive!
