1.0b questions

I am a new member and have installed the 1.0b and I have a couple questions thanks in advance!

Is there a way to see the controls and features?

Is adding mods, and scripts as easy as drag and drop? When I add a vehicle how do I spawn or get to it?

For ElS v8 how do I know what cars are compatible?

What is EFLC?

Any other new things you recommend? Tips?

For controls and features read the ReadMe as that contains all the information you will need.

Installing modded cars will require OpenIV (google search it), adding scripts has always been a drag and drop feature, just read the readme's with each one for more information, but as a rule of thumb all scripts that are .net.dll go in to the scripts folder and all .asi scripts will go in to the root folder (the one with LaunchGTAIV.exe) and the corresponding .ini files go with the main script file.

All ELS cars should be compatible, but mod authors will specify if their cars are ELS8 built.

EFLC is Episodes From Liberty City, basically an expansion pack on the game adding more car slots.

And as for tips, just enjoy the game and the company, if you ever need any help you have come to the right place.

Yes, as long as you use OpenIV

When I add a vehicle how do I spawn or get to it?

Use Simple Native Trainer, and it's "Car Spawning" menu

For ElS v8 how do I know what cars are compatible?

Sometimes the models in the downloads section have "ELS" in their title (like this picture: http://puu.sh/8KHv9.png) and if it is an ELS vehicle, the "ELS Compatibility" will be "ELS" (like this picture: http://puu.sh/8KHw0.png)

What is EFLC?

EFLC stands for Episodes from Liberty City. It's a standalone game made up of two DLCs for GTA IV.

Any other new things you recommend? Tips?

Make yourself known around the community and don't post senseless crap and always post in the correct section. Also, make use of the Tutorials and Downloads section. Other than that there's not much, welcome to our great community!

Hi, welcome to the forums. :)

1. Yes, on the >LCPDFR download page, there is a User Documentation PDF file which contains all of LCPDFR's controls among other useful information.

2. For the most part yes, this depends on what you're installing though. Script modifications are mostly a drag and drop however vehicle modifications require use of other programs (such as OpenIV). You can spawn a vehicle using a modification called Simple Native Trainer or by pressing the tilde (~) key to open the in-game console and typing "spawn *vehicle name*" (ex. spawn police2).

3. ELS V8 will work with any ELS enabled vehicle. ELS enabled vehicles will have "ELS" written in the files title or under the ELS Compatibility section in the lower right hand corner of the download page, above the credits.

4. Grand Theft Auto Episodes From Liberty City. A set of 2 standalone expansion packs which do not require an original copy of Grand Theft Auto IV to run.

As for some tips: Familiarize yourself with our Community Guidelines and make sure to research your issue before posting about it - chances are it's been asked and solved before. If you ever run into any problems (not relating to game/mod support) or have any questions, don't hesitate to PM myself or another staff member.

i heard there were issues with the simple native trainer and some other mods or scripts is this true? does the vhd police helper let you spawn vehicles as well? would anyone be able to go on teamviewer and show me how to add a script and a car, once i see it i can pick it up very quickly, also is there a limit on scripts or vehicle mods? and what is it called if i want to change the uniform of my character?

You should be able to do it by reading the readmes and manuals provided by the mods.

You can select your playedmodel and spawn vehicles and much more with the Simple Native Trainer. With PlayerSelector you can edit your character and play voices etc.

As ineseri says, we try our best.

If you have any mod issues with LCPDFR or with modding in general feel free to swing by the support forums and drop us a post. If you do that be sure to check the guidelines for posting in this section (they appear when you go to make a new post), and always try to search for your issue first.

We'll try to help you out as best we can, but remember one crucial thing...

The more information you give us, the faster we can get you up and running again :)

With that said, happy policing :)

The key to activate LCPDFR is Alt+P.

For all the questions you just asked, you could have read the manual + readme for that. I am 100% that the trainer readme is listing the trainer keys in extreme detail.
