Call-Out/Traffic Stop

Featured Replies

I had a call out for reckless driving. I caught up to the vehicle and pulled it over. It stopped for me and the two little yellow icons appeared. I approached with my weapon out and tried to order him out, but since the yellow icons were there, it forced me to walk into them to activate the dialogue, but when I did - the driver just gunned me down.

Is there no way to order out a driver on a (pressed shift) traffic stop with yellow icons...without walking right up to the  window and having the dialogue open?

How would you have handled this traffic stop different, given the circumstances I listed?

Also, sometimes when I use the capslock button to set up a roadbloack, I get a message "enter the mission marker" - what does that mean? Because a roadblock never gets set up.

I think you have to set a waypoint on the map (like you'd set your gps).

I'd love to have a felony stop mode as well, where you don't have to walk up to the car's window, but order him out at gunpoint. Maybe if you draw your gun, the traffic stop should turn into a felony stop, not sure if that's possible though.

I usually roll in 1st person, so when approaching it's easier to see in the vehicle, I make sure there is no gun in the drivers hand.  Soon as you get close to the marker the driver will sometimes pull the gun, just back off to the rear of the car and shoot the bastard.  If you have a partner, he will also assist (usually) to take the perp down.

If not paying attention, you'll get bushwhacked pretty good and usually get gunned down.

Hi I'm a new guy to this game, but not the Real Game" I'm a retired Police (Lt.) Supervisor and Trainer.  I agree with both Officer & "Sgt" If you have your "ALPR" activated and you are alerted to a stolen vehicle, Felony Stop is automatic.

1 . Make sure your unit, if the game allows (have not try yet) is not pulled up to close to the rear of the suspect's vehicle.

    2. Night Stops: You will need a Flashlight to be able to see in the vehicle and a Spotlight on the patrol vehicle.

    3. Place and offset patrol car to give you more protection from the traffic.

    4. Step out of your patrol car leaving your door open, step back to the rear of your vehicle; left side (out of traffic) or right side I(in traffic).

Draw your service weapon, press "E" and order the suspect out of the vehicle.

Please do not place yourself between the rear of the suspect's vehicle and your patrol car. You might get crushed.

The Officer if possible should always tell the driver of the suspect vehicle where to stop (ie) pull over. Open space, away from vehicle traffic. very well lite, and most important backup.

I know this is a game, but you want to be able to see the suspect's hands. Watching all moment. Oh ya, don't want to forget the other occupants in the vehicle. I think to Multiplayer platform would play better here, for the "AI" cops are one dimensional.

Again the game is Great, I love it. Have fun, but "BE SAFE"

There's really nothing that could work except for pressing "E" at the suspect from the rear windshield when NOT PULLED OVER! If you want to make him stop, block him with your car in front of his car. If you press "E" at a suspect from the rear windshield or anywhere else that you could possibly think of, the mod might not do the command or the game will possibly crash. Try what I said and see if it works, and I would personally use some heavy weapons and maybe a partner because they can shoot too. Most likely avenge you or save you, either way.

Not trying to "Thread Steal" as some would say, but if a pulled over suspect is preparing to shoot at you, they have a visible weapon in their hand?

Not always though.  I walked up to a driver on the passenger side a few times, driver had no gun until I approached the window; then he pulled it from his side (from what I could tell while trying to retreat and take cover).

Also, sometimes the driver may not be armed, but his passenger may be.  I was gunned down a few times when a passenger pulled a sidearm and, from passenger seat and across the drivers side, shot me a few times until my partner took him down.

Try keeping a partner around, he/she is a value added asset when in trouble.

Not that it would help in this scenario, but sometimes what I do for ALPR stolen cars is wait for them to stop at a red light then order them out a gunpoint.

I usualy have a firearm drawn when approaching a suspect at night and in neighborhoods like Bohan. Gives me more time to react.

You also can use a partner, he'll cover you from other side of a vehicle. Partners are not good at sharpshooting though, once he shot me instead of a driver. Or it just looked like that, I'm not sure.
