Help with SNT ped animations

Featured Replies

Hello all! (hopefully this is in the right forum)

I've been looking for assistance on how to create scenes with the SNT ped animation menu. Either how you go about doing it, or if there is a youtube video out there (I thought I looked for one, but I didn't see something that was helpful).

I messed around for an hour, but to no avail. I just got confused.

I want to be able to do something like this (first screen from Sentinel55, the other from Netman, I believe):

There's probably an easier way of doing this (if so, please tell me, I want to believe!), but when I want to take shots like that I just loop the animation and take the picture as soon as the animation is where I want it.

Total noob status. I didn't even know there was a loop function. I'm sitting here like "so I only get 5 seconds to take this picture? This is magic." lol. I'll have to look into this.

How Netman was able to get that shot is beyond me, the guy is a wizard when it comes to GTA IV's animations and code.

You might be able to imitate the first picture by following Sgt.Kanyo's method, >here's how he did it.

No kidding. So maybe it's just that I'm not too familiar with SNT, because I don't know where the loop feature is. I've seen the combat part,  I'm a little confused at the move ped button. I don't know how to move the ped to an exact location (i.e. behind their door, just like Kanyo). They always follow me no matter what.

It sounds like you're spawning a bodyguard. You have to spawn a ped, it will not follow you!

The loop function is in the Bodyguard/Ped Animation Menu:

You can also use the video editor to pause the action at the right time and move the camera with more ease. I'm not sure it will work great with ELS (haven't tried it) since the extras that are activated are selected randomly each time the scene is reloaded in the editor, but that's how I used to do.

Or, if it doesn't work as great as you'd expect, you can try messing around with the Ultimate Camera Control mod.

Thanks! This is probably super helpful. I'll have to test it out when I've got some time today. Also, how do you place the peds specifically behind doors?

Select the Move Last Spawned Bodyguard/Ped menu, there is a little tutorial. One tip, freeze your spawned cars so they make no problems when you try to move the ped behind the door!

Sweet. It helped. I keep accidentally aiming at a ped, so they stop what they're doing. So I might have to rethink that strategy.

Do you know what the State Trooper ped is under? It's not under M Y STROOPER I thought...
