Malaysia Airlines MH370 Missing.

Featured Replies

This is quite sad news.

Yeah. It only seems to be getting worse for the families of the travelers, 3 of which, were American. The wreckage (like it says on my post) was found on a satellite website, which could suggest that there aren't any survivors.

  • I think a rapid crash into the sea is more likely than an airplane going into low earth orbit.

  • Please just stop with these stupid conspiracy theories. You really think Obama wants to kill a bunch of people or steal their plane instead of fucking around with Putin and fighting for freedom in Ukr

Well. I have an update for you guys!

A website by the name of DigitalGlobe, a Colorado based firm, owns one of the world's most advanced satellite networks. After the discovery of what appears to be a plane looking object made by Mike Seberger, 43. Although it looks more like a boat, there is a possibility this could be the wreckage of the mysterious flight that suddenly disappeared from the radar.

Looks more like a WW2 fighter if anything.

Okay so I was on the website to help find the plane and found this in the area. Almost looks like a raft or debris

You might be on to something. According to the scale and my calculations, the object is smaller than 10-15 feet. I started thinking that it could be a raft, but unfortunally, most life rafts are usually orange or a similar color to allow them to be spotted easily. That is most likely a piece of debris.

But look at the trail behind it. A debris wouldn't cause a trail like that

I didn't even see that. I was guessing cause I didn't think rafts would be white. Could be just a small boat. If only we could zoom in farther, we could make out better what it is.

I wish I could access the website. Apparently they are "poking [their] servers with sticks" to fix it.

Unfortunately, the plane is not the only thing that may be floating in the ocean. The reason I say maybe, and this will make me sound crazy, but extraterrestrial life has got to exist somewhere in the universe. I know this is a very small chance but maybe it was abducted? I ask that nobody backlashes at me but considers this as an option. I must say that the radar showed the plane disappearing at 35,000 ft. and not descending. Although there are other things that can happen, this isn't too unreasonable if you believe in that sort of stuff. I am not trying to make this an off topic discussion, but rather discussing possibilities. Feel free to call me insane. I may or may not be proved wrong here in the near future. I am hoping this is not the case. Thank you for considering my crazy ideas.

That's impossible! I am 100% sure that it's the reptilians! But seriously, I don't know how long they can last out in the ocean, if there are survivors they will most likely starve to death while floating on the rubble from the crash (or whatever happened) unless they get to an island or somewhere with a food source, they can't last much longer

Uh, no. Aliens descended from extraterrestrial planets using a thing called a "laskdfg joer g RAY" which zapped the plane straight out of the air. Then the aliens ate the flesh of the miserable travelers, sucking every bit of life out of their helpless souls.

*clears throat*

I have been looking for hours and I believe that this may be the plane that went missing last week, there are a few waves so I circled it so you don't get confused, I have studied it for a while and I am certain that this is it

Problem is, usually these life rafts have some kind of Emergency Transmitter too when they're deployed. I remember reading some years back of either a Boeing crew or a airline maintenance crew that inflated one of these in the plane, apparently had some USCG equipment over them within minutes, and they were not pleased...

Update (Source: Times of India):

Missing plane mystery: No debris at spot shown on China images, Malaysia says

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: No signs of the missing Malaysian jetliner have been found at a spot where Chinese satellite images showed what might be plane debris, Malaysia's civil aviation chief said on Thursday, deflating the latest lead in the five-day hunt. "There is nothing. We went there, there is nothing," Azharuddin Abdul Rahman told reporters in Kuala Lumpur. Vietnamese officials previously said the area had been "searched thoroughly" in recent days.

The hunt for the Boeing 777 has been punctuated by false leads since it disappeared with 239 people aboard just hours after leaving Kuala Lumpur for Beijing early Saturday. The plane was heading northeast over the South China Sea when it disappeared, but authorities believe it may have turned back and headed into the upper reaches of the Strait of Malacca or beyond.
The location where Chinese images showed possible debris is not far from where the last confirmed position of the plane was between Malaysia and Vietnam. The images and coordinates were posted on the website of China's State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.

A Xinhua report said the images from around 11am on Sunday appear to show "three suspected floating objects" of varying sizes in a 20-kilometer radius, the largest about 24-by-22 meters (79-by-72 feet) off the southern tip of Vietnam. Pham Quy Tieu, deputy transport minister, said that the area had been "searched thoroughly" by forces from other countries over the past few days. Doan Huu Gia, chief of air search and rescue coordination center, said Malaysian and Singaporean aircraft were scheduled to visit the area again on Thursday. Li Jiaxiang, chief of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, said later China had yet to confirm any link between the suspected floating objects and the plane. Malaysia has come under some criticism for its handling of the search, which currently covers 35,800 square miles (92,600 square kilometers) and involves 12 nations.

Malaysia retires missing plane's flight code

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines says it has retired the missing jetliner's flight code as a sign of respect to the 239 passengers and crew on board.  The airline says it will no longer be using MH370 and MH371, the same codes used by the Boeing 777 that vanished from radar screens on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on Saturday.  MH370 was used for Kuala Lumpur-Beijing route and MH371 for a return flight.  Starting Friday, Malaysia Airlines says it will use flight codes MH318 and MH319 for the same route.

Ugh. This is terrible. American ships aren't on the scene are they? I wouldn't be disappointed if they were, because that's for a good call, and not for an uncalled war.
