If there's anyone who has a some-what negative view of the Detroit Police Department, I hope this video changes your mind.  This awesome act happened yesterday.  I have a feeling this has happened before, but I've never heard of it until now.

That's nice of them. Reminds me of when San Francisco became Gotham for a day. And a kid with cancer had to stop some criminals as Batman, was awesome.

Really touching. Being a police force in Detroit, a bankrupt city, with a high crime rate, they still managed to find time and resources to organize this event. Of course, that's done for PR, but I don't care, since those officers were sincerely and really did their best to make this kid feel good. I pray for this kid to be able to overcome his disease and one day, when he's 40 or 50, remember how was it when he was 9 year old, how he was a chief of police and it all was made specially for him...

To make my emotions simple, 

 

my smile was larger than my face. :)

Being from Dearborn and near Detroit. This gives me hope that Detroit can get better.

Awe, poor kid.  Hate to see kids with stuff like that going on in their little lives.

I am from Detroit and when I saw this on the news it was pretty awesome I wish I had the chance to do that.
