  • I'd imagine that it's pretty chaotic down there if you never get snow, nothing is built to cope with snow.

  • That's cute.

  • I just love how people freak out over a little bit a snow. Move to Colorado and you can get all the snow you want!

Oh no we love the snow as long as we're not in a wreck!

The difference between snow in southern Alabama and Florida and snow in Colorado, Canada or any other place that regularly gets snow is that they aren't prepared for it.

They usually don't have gritters on stand-by, they build roads very differently, the mix is different and thinner laid than up north, the roads are also built without taking water/snow displacement into account, usually roads crest on the middle to displace the water away from the road.

The cars are also very unlikely to have winter tyres and nearly nobody has experience with driving in snow on top the usual overestimation of your own driving abilities.

To put into perspective, Colorado would be in a bit of a tight spot if the temperature rose to 30C overnight. Nothing is built for it, the melted snow will cause substantial flooding because nobody has taken measures to prevent it.

Snow my azz, That looks like ice lol. That's all we ever seem to get around here.(AR) I'd rather have snow, at least it's easier to drive on.
