What? So if you speed through junctions and drive away from the police you get shot? That is bullsh*t. Think about it, he has just had a high speed RTC and stumbles out of his car, he isn't going to be coherent for a while as a result of the trauma, he was vulnerable and posed little threat as he was not in his car. His hand were out to the side when he was shot meaning the police could see his hands were empty. That shot was unjustified and outlines the major differences in law enforcement between Britain and America. It was totally shocking police work.

So what you are saying is that a police officer in America can shoot someone in the back even if they are unarmed and no longer pose a threat to the public? Because that is the situation here, he could hardly even walk after that crash!

Let's wait for a full news report and/or dash cam footage of the chase w/ radio chatter instead of speculating on why the cops did what they did, shall we? That beind said, I don't like the LAPD. A lot of big agencies have problems with "quality control" among the people they hire.

I am a crooked cop in GTA IV (I shoot most of my suspects) but this is unacceptable

Marriage itself is for the church to decide, a priest should not be forced to wed anyone he or she does not want to wed for whatever reason, that goes for heterosexual couples as well. A priest should not be forced to wed a racist couple or a black/middle eastern/Asian couple if he or she does not want to either.

Personally, I couldn't give a crap about it, your sexuality does not define who you are as a person, I don't care who your partner is as long as you treat that person with respect and love.

Speaking from experience, Denmark allowed same-sex "registered partnerships" in 1989. It doesn't really affect anything, non-gays aren't banned from getting married or otherwise discriminated or disadvantaged so it's a bit of a non-issue really, my only concern is that the different religious institutions are allowed to make the decision themselves. I also belive that the government should provide a non-religious alternative that will give any couple the same legal rights and official acknowledgements as a church officiated ceremony, the church can do as it pleases really.

If it's OK for two men to get married, then it's ok for someone to marry a goat.  It should be OK to marry a child then as well or to marry a loved dog.  Why not?  It's all good dude!

First off; if you believe in the Bible, God and Jesus, you have to accept what the Bible tells you.  You can't pick and choose what to accept, because the Bible is the word of God, if you are a true Christian.  So to say it shouldn't be morally wrong is plane ignorance because that is impossible.  Some people, many people live by a moral code of ethics and understand the meaning of morality, in it's truest sense.

You can choose to ignore it and belittle it and blaspheme all you want.  But it IS morally wrong as it should be, if you (general you) have  a moral compass that is.  Two men are not supposed to have sexual relations period and is a biological fact.   It's morally reprehensibly to most reasonable people, as two men can't produce a child (nor two women) and is such a repugnant act in itself.  Not the true meaning of marriage and it's origins if you ask me or any historian, or religious scholar.

Now, I'm Roman Catholic, but I do not care if two guys are together.  I don't even care if they get married as it matters not one bit to me.  But I will not be forced to accept it as moral behavior by any means, nor will I be forced to accommodate those who have so little regard for others and who have not thought about marriage and what it truly means for more than 30-seconds.

Why is marriage considered an institution then?  It's being turned into a mockery.

Coming from a religious family, I disagree with it. It states in the Bible that homosexuality is wrong. Leviticus 18:22 "Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin."

Before i became a LEO, i carried mine (concealed) but I always felt it would deter crime. I have open carried it before, and (when i was younger of course) it would deter fights etc. If another kid at high school or college wanted to come up and start crap, they didn't when I had a gun. That sort of thing. I suppose if someone is hell bent and shooting something up (school, mall, whatever) if they saw a gun they'd be a first target. As far as robberies go, that would be the opposite, atleast in terms of one on one "I pull a gun give me your wallet" type deal. People like that are cowards, and they will go to people who aren't armed. As far as open carry, as a LEO, it gets people scared, I think nothing of it when i see someone walking in walmart with a holstered gun. As a person, they have their right to defend themselves, whether it be open carry or concealed. I see both sides of the issue.

blyartrucker reacted to ZombLee in 'Freval' error fix progress?
I have a lot of the Freval errors as well and for me adding the PreloadAllModels=True to the [Main] section in the LCPDFR ini file really helped to stabilize my game immensely. Since I added it I actually played without crashes for over an hour. I actually ended up quitting because the scripts for the Police Helper mod crashed before LCPDFR did. Even with police helper's script crashes, LCPDFR didn't crash to desktop. I would suggest everyone try this little command line, until the developers can find the source of the freval error.

With the preloadmodels command, I notice my LCPDFR logs are still sporting the freval error, but I'm no longer CTD-ing because of it.  Hopefully we'll have another hotfix and they can stop that non-existent model spawning.
