It's time for another preview, the Chargers has been abandoned until some issues with the 2011 model are fixed.

However, I have been working on this for a few weeks:

It's a Crown Victoria sporting a Whelen® Edge® Ultra Freedom® WeCan® Super-LED® configured with a total of eight modules (four front/four rear), Whelen® 700 series Super-LED® grille lights and Whelen® Avenger® AVNS Linear Super-LED® with synchronize feature deck lights®®™©.

Present at the moment is a few bugs,  I somehow manged to assign a lightsemissive material to a part of the lightbar lenses as well some slight issues regarding the lens texture itself, there's also an issue with the transparency of the lenses on both grille lights, all of which has to be fixed.

The car has not yet been fitted with any additional exterior and interior equipment, spotlights, antennas, laptops and prisoner partitions are all subject to change.

It has been nearly two months since I last updated this thread.

I have kept modding on a low-burn (as opposed to sautéing) so I haven't moved heaven or earth since August, the only modding activities has surrounded polishing a couple of minor details on the project and it's very close to being finished, though there is still a couple of issues that I will have to address before release.

My modding time has mostly been spent on making a lightbar mounted ANPR (or ALPR for those on the left side of the big pond) camera, the model is loosely based on a 20091017-LAPD-ALPR-006>camera that the LAPD and LScoSD uses, I chose that particular camera as it is visually unique and somewhat compact (unlike082909-HalbrentIC-166> these massive hangars).

Those screenshots does not represent the final product, the camera itself is too small and the cord ends rather abruptly mid-air.

Maybe try looping the cords into the top metal part of the lightbar? Anyway, that is something I haven't seen before.

Cheers.

It's time for another short update.

Current project:

I am currently working on a revised edition of the last project >I wrote about, there's nothing too exciting to show.

I have fixed a number of issues that was present on both model and skins. My testing has produced encouraging results so far, expect news in the latter part of week 6.

And now it's time for a spot of house keeping:

I have given up on my 2011-2014 Charger PP after attempting to work though a list of improvements, most of which turned out to be too time consuming or beyond my skill level.

However, I have not given up on making A 2011 Charger PP. I am in the (very) early stages of converting Forza 4's Charger SRT R/T into PP specification, as well as fully converting the model to GTA IV itself.

Progress has been encouraging so far. Most of my work has been spent on admin, that is splitting the model from Forza's structure into groups based on their function (doors, bodyshell, bonnet, boot, interior and so on).

It's too early to tell how it will turn out, the model requires enough plastic surgery to keep a Beverly Hills surgeon in business for the foreseeable future.

The front bumper and bonnet has to be completely remodelled, I hope to cannibalise my dead '11 Charger for those parts, fitting issues notwithstanding.

Likewise, the interior requires a bit of cannibalising. Forza's model has 2 different interiors, one interior is included along the exterior model, which I assume is used for third person driving given its fidelity (which is low). The other, higher fidelity, interior is designed for first person driving, redundant for GTA IV.

Using the former interior, the one designed for third person, does present itself with a couple of issues. The major issue being that the doors exist only as a texture.

I intend to use the interior part of the doors from my dead Charger. Though time will tell if it will work.

Lastly, I am also going to revise a number of lighting parts (lightbars and lightheads), I'll post when I have more information, I expect to release a couple of models as dev resources, though it depends on a number of factors.

The Charger will be a major project, a project I will work on while making mods using models that are, well, usable.
