Hey me and a friend are looking into getting two Macbook Pro's, but obviously the OS is not compatible to my knowledge, or is it? If it is how well could it run GTA 4 + LCPDFR + Multiplayer? Thank you guys, this is the best community!

I don't think GTA IV is available on Mac, but you can install Windows on it. It would barely run it, though, if at all.

I play GTA4 on Mac what you have to do is bootcamp your mac to have Windows.. You will need to buy a Windows OS to do this then you can run gta 4 and LCPFR. You will have to do some reconfiguring for some of the mods . Message me if you have anymore questions. GTA 4 runs smooth on my Macbook pro.

Not necessarily, a friend of mine loaded windows 7 home premium onto his Macbook Pro and is able to run some pretty graphically demanding and memory drawing games just fine.  However, GTA IV tends to run pretty bad on moderate to good gaming PCs in my experience so I may be wrong.  I wish it was compatible with stock OSX though, I'd much rather be using a Mac but gaming has me limited to windows.  Good luck!

I'd say get a better computer, a computer better suited for gaming and you will have a much better overall experience. 

I run GTA IV on my MacBook from time to time.  You won't get anything above 30 FPS on it, but it'll run it without problems on medium settings.

 

Note that if you're getting one of the new MacBooks, only the top of the range model with the dedicated graphics chip, I think its the GT750M, will have any hope of running GTA IV, and should do so fairly well.

 

You'll also need to run Windows on it.  I run Windows 8 on mine.

I'll sum up what others are trying to say in once sentence for you: Blow two grand on your Macbook alone, plus a copy of Windows and you can probably run the game with mediocre settings. Happy hunting.
