I know I have a Saitek controller in the basement somewhere, and I was just wondering if it was worth to look for it so I can use it with LCPDFR, or is it only compatible with XBOX 360 controllers?

 

Only compatible with Official XBOX 360 controller, as like GTA itself.

Anything else you'd have to bind the keys yourself with third-party software.

Nope.  I'm pretty sure LCPDFR and GTAIV only support XboX controllers.  I have a PS3 and I can't even use that controller.  

 

Although, I like the mouse+keyboard better for shooting and action buttons, the controller is better for driving in my opinion (and controller better for kicking back in a chair/sofa/lounge).

I believe it's just XBOX 360 controllers as that's the only one vanilla GTA IV supports. There are tools that you can use to make your Saitek controller emulate an XBOX 360 controller to make it work for GTA IV, I can't think of any off the top of my head though, sorry.

i use PS3 controller. if you download DS3 tools(motionjoy) it wil apply youre ps3 controller, if you have it connected with the USB in your computer
