Some little tweaks for 1.0

Featured Replies

One little thing that could be done is moving the custody drop-off and vehicle spawn at the Fishmarket station to the upper parking lot. That fence next to the garage gets in the way of the drop off scene and your partner when they run to your vehicle.

Bumping this because I don't think the ini file is working properly for the pursuits.

I made the point in my tweaks suggestions to reduce the number of police cars that can join a pursuit, and the people kindly responded with saying there are 2 settings in the .ini file to do this.

After 1.0a hotfix came out it seems to be completely ignoring this.

I set mine personally down to

[Pursuits]
AllowRoadblocks=True
MaximumCopCarsInPursuit=2
ForceAnnihilatorHelicopter=False
MaximumCopsInPursuit=6

Yes, 2 cop cars maximum and 6 police officers maximum.

I can confirm that my settings don't seem to limit them either. A support topic should be opened.

Nope, that's right.  There's two suspects there, so it is actually two pursuits.   This way it means that the two suspects can split up, and both will still be chased.

Ohhh I see, now it all makes more logical sense. I was going on the assumption that the vehicle entity was being classified as the pursuit target which meant only 2 police cars would be chasing, but its based on the suspects not the vehicle.

Thanks for that, i'm going to copy what you said as a quote across onto the support topic I made about it so others will benefit from it too. Cheers

Alright, so "a pursuit" is equal to one suspect being chased, completely independent of others being chased at the same time. That makes the default numbers seem ridiculously high! If multiple suspects are in one vehicle, do they combine, or are they still treated separately?

Might be better for me to tweak my settings just to be safe.  I had a call which spawned 8 suspects and half of them ran away when my backup showed up after 30seconds..

So i am thinking there wasn't enough time for things to possibly get ridiculous.

They're still treated separately.
