I really hope the fallout series doesn't die anytime soon, they really need to continue with it. I love the whole future post apocalyptic free world type games. I like finding all the odd stuff like the old jazz music and these terminal command line based computers even though its like years in the future :p

Although, did you guys like Fallout New Vegas? I thought it was definitely interesting, however I found Fallout 3 to more......mysterious. It seemed to have more in it.

Bethesda bought the entire franchise for a reason: Make more Fallout games. I'm half-expecting a Fallout 4, my only wish is that they won't rush it. Bethesda is notorious for releasing buggy games. Also, The Fallout Universe is set in a alternative timeline. It diverted from our timeline around the end of the Second World War. So it's not technically in the future, atleast not our future.

Btw, let's keep this topic on the subject at hand: Fallout 4, hopes and wishes for that game :)

Found a decoder program - it appears to be 12.11.13, which would just be the date that it is counting down to.

Edit: Also, someone found this as well: http://12072299.tumblr.com/

Who knows if it's a real thing or just a fan made thing.

"Work and ideas get stolen, then you keep moving on doing your thing."

It's all numbers. Maybe dates? Maybe a further encrypted message.

EDIT: Looks like you posted while I was posting...

People have too many opinions about things they know nothing about, and the less they know, the more opinions they have.

Interesting..........

Also Ineseri I agree with ya. I hope that they don't rush it and acutally make new stuff for the next game. A lot of the New Vegas interiors were from Fallout 3. I can't wait to see what the next one is going to be like! I hope this 'counter' we seemed to have come across isn't a hoax or a joke of some sort......

I spent 20 minutes listening to, jotting down and converting the morse code just to figure out several people already posted it here.   :wallbash:   The ONE time I didn't read a thread fully before clicking links...

Don't feel bad.. I rarely ever click links due to virus'..

example: I can apparently get a 20% Discount on "The ONE time" part of you're post.......

Haha, I appreciate the effort anyway. Knowing morse code is a neat little thing too.

RIP head seat users

Don't say that I didn't warn you though... :P

Anyway, I did whois lookup:

It IS indeed registered by ZeniMax, there are some details that's not completely spot on (godaddy registration, DNS server name (ZeniMax has its own DNS)). It could be a spoof, but we'll see soon enough.

Oh just thought of something, imagine if Fallout 4 had something like a 4 player co-op or something, just to play with your buddies. Mess around, do missions together, 'miss your targets' every once and a while if you know what I'm sayin :p haha.

I just checked this again today, new text and Morse code.

Text: ZYX 5625478+7878 - HVCD AYX XOTF LFG IVL EGIBDYU CD RZWVI? UJY'H VOSC FW SFP'GS POCVK KYVI L UWX IVYGLV. XZAG YU, DHNY PJFF CCZ! ZM'K NZHP HQ QV. NAWLV OSS HEJB RGO TVXS HBVD?

Code: clg br clg br rpt dy sev on hvb ppl ar scrd lst nght we hrd str nes fm ti atm we se str hum dx 02 mil n smth int rgth wid th pl k

Some words I might have figured out from Morse code are in bold, others I'm not sure about: clg br clg br repeat dy sev(maybe "seven"?) on hvb people are scared last night we heard strange noise fm ti atm we see strange human dx 02 mil(possibly a name - "miller"?) and smith int rgth wid th pl k

Edit: Apparently it's supposed to say this (I gave in - pretty quickly - and looked it up) - Calling Black Row, calling Black Row. Report: Day seven, on Harvard Bridge. People are scared; last night we heard strange noises from The Institute. At the moment we see strange humans distance 2 miles North. Something isn’t right with that place, over.

I had some right.

And the text translated to this: What the fuck are you looking at kiddo? Don’t tell me you’ve never seen a gun before. Come on, move your ass! It’s time to go.

Hmm that is eerie. Thanks for taking your time posting it, it's appreciated.

The VGX (previous VGA) starts SATURDAY DECEMBER 7 AT 6 PM ET / 3 PM PT. Here's to hoping something more will be shown...

As the Fallout lore nerd I am, here's some name explaination/background:

The Institute

… is the pre-war Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Robert House (New Vegas, cancelled Fallout 3 Van Buren) apperantly attended this school. It’s within the confines of “The Commonwealth”, which is the pre-war Massachusetts, New England. In the fallout world, little is known about that place other than secret experiments being conducted by scientists. An example of this is the android in Fallout 3. Both the android and his creator is from the commonwealth.

Fallout New Vegas: House mentions the Institute in his obituary:

Robert Edwin House, 261, President, CEO, and sole proprietor of the New Vegas Strip, industrialist and technologist, founder, President, and CEO of the multi-billion-dollar pre-War robotics and software corporation, RobCo Industries, has died.

Generally recognized by Mr. House to be mankind's only hope of long-term survival, Mr. House's passing may well sound a death knell for the entire human race.

Lost forever is his bounty of knowledge concerning human longevity, the depth and breadth of which could, as he was apt to say, "fill several text books". He was not exaggerating. Though he did not achieve his goal of functional immortality, let us not forget that he died at the age of 261. How many people do that? I mean, come on.

Also lost forever are House's singular personality, force of will, vision, and leadership ability. The probability of an equally capable figure emerging from the current human population to lead mankind to a future of equivalent quality is less than 0.000112% by objective measures too complex to detail in this obituary.

Personality and force of will: Born June 25th, 2020, House was orphaned at an early age when his parents died in a freak accident (auto gyro, lightning). Though cheated of his inheritance, House attended the prestigious Institute in Massachusetts and founded RobCo Industries on his 22nd birthday. Within five years, it was one of the most profitable corporations on Earth.

Vision: By 2065, House was certain that an atomic war would soon devastate the planet. At great personal expense, he developed technologies to ensure the structural integrity of the city of Las Vegas (as it was known at the time). On the day of the great war, 77 atomic warheads targeted the city. Mr. House defeated them all. Talk about vision!

Leadership: Mr. House survived the war, of course, and would later recruit the Three Families, negotiate the Treaty of New Vegas, and rebuild the Vegas Strip. While these achievements yielded many immediate benefits, they were all part of House's master plan to re-ignite mankind's quest for technological advancement, a plan without which the human race has nowhere to go, and nowhere to turn.

/// Will revise and finish this up later. Have set the age at death to update automatically. Obit makes salient points but "pearls before swine," of course. Let's hope the ingrates never have cause to read it. Who knows how many of them are even literate!

Black Row

Black Row hasn’t been mentioned in the Fallout Bible, or wiki. Possible new location.

Harvard Bridge

Location in real-life Massachusetts. No mention of that specific place in the Fallout Bible, or wiki.

Strange Humans

Possibly Ghoul/Supermutant experiments.

Also, I found this document just now (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pJLwd0osKpnp6kEogWh6KAZZiM0Rh-odwWCDc3VEMVE/preview?pli=1&sle=true).
