if you use the "learn more" section it can help you if you are having trouble. there really isn't much to the system once you log into it.... register, verify and setup your profile. once setup you "READ" the entire page and module descriptions.... start using the MDT/MDC and go from there. if you lock someone up and it doesn't need an invest report just an arrest report clear it arrest, if you need to do a report then click report..... then go to the report/arrest(booking) module and simply click log report and it will self generate. if you are in a report and choose the option "Arrestee" then you need to log a booking report as well.

it does not have to be unfounded, it dispatches you to start your role-playing imagination.... use the notes field add your own suspect description etc... throw a DL number in there of someone that might be on scene, check the person for warrants maybe you will lock someone up anyway! you make it however you want it to play out, i gave you guys the tools to experience how random events can occur in an area, no incident in real life is always what it appears. but overall it is a role playing tool, so do some of the work as well and build your experience/incident/job in any way you wish, don't rely solely on something that needs to appear in front of you. also ask anyone who is on the job, a description of a suspect may come out and it is completely opposite or a totally different race or gender. so here you go for an example: the system dispatches you to a man w a gun.... but the RP refused to give any info or they disconnected prior to obtaining a description.... so what happens now? just like in real life you arrival cautiously on scene. talk to people and put that info in the notes field of the MDT.... you decide how it plays out from there in the game and on the MDT. 

 

yeah but I'm a bit confused... the calls you get from the MDT system does not really happen ingame do they? I've tried it some minutes ago and there was a call for a suicidal attempt in alderney so I drove up there to the named street but everything was empty... so pretty much a have to imagine that something had happend right?

Simply fantastic RP tool, I leave it running on my old laptop next to me so I don't even have to alt-tab. Adds a great touch of fun to the game. 

 

Only suggestion I would have would be perhaps some sort of BOLO list so in game you can RP looking for a particular type of vehicle or person and stop/investigate etc. But really amazing work love how detailed it is.

This MDT is completely separate from the old one.  As for the coinciding incidents, must be pure coincidence since the MDT is for role-playing.

Also, it will be probably be awhile before any other MDTs get released.  We're still working on the current one.

life as you can all imagine has been extremely busy with the recent passing of fellow brothers in blue. Beta testers for the other CAD systems will be selected again and most likely consist of a different group. Although it does not mean that you cannot do both or all of them as a tester but some of the other CAD options may not be of any interest for the other beta testers that took part in the PD version that was recently released.

 

 

Wanted to take a moment and personally thank everyone for their feedback, help, and growth of our new community CAD (140+ users). Hopefully it continues to grow, WOW, and be a useful Role-playing tool.  A special thanks to MikeGood and the rest of the beta team who made the release possible just in time for the holidays and new year.

the night mode option was going to be a feature for the clan roleplaying tool (live system). I may carry it into and offer to the free single player version at some point but not at the moment. Currently I am focusing on developing a few other areas and systems before moving into other features/improvements.

Any more updates on this? Wondering about a Chat system where you could talk to other players currently on the MDT

Great work. This has by far added the most realism to those of us that want a truly RPG experience including the paper! Are there any plans to add a vehicle registration system? For instance when conducting a stop you can auto populate a plate number that will be attached to that vehicle so you can check its history ie stolen or not.

In addition, can you currently issue warrants from playing out a call? Let's say you go to a theft and the victim knows the suspect. Can you then issue a not in custody report to generate a warrant?

And lastly is there a predetermined amount of time a specific charge will keep someone in jail? I arrested someone today for suspended DL with knowledge, so are they out of the list of people to come in contact with until time has passed?

Its all roleplay, so its just the web. I run a laptop to use it when playing on my PC. Adds a bit of immersion. Same here, I use my Surface Pro 2 to use the MDC and play on my Desktop. Gives it an in car feel especially on MVStops. I never touch my SP2 though unless im in the car, also gives it that feeling of I need to be in the car to use the MDC. 

glad you guys are enjoying, I have tried to make it useable on the tablets and such.  I have had a change to the work schedule so things have slowed down but I will try and get some of the other things going in the spare time.
