Shots have been fired at Terminal 3 at LAX, with TSA agents being taken away with injuries. A high-powered rifle is supposedly the weapon that was used. The gunman has supposedly been shot, but it hasn't been confirmed at the time of writing. The airport is on lockdown as well as nearby shops.

Edit 1: Passengers in terminal forced to evacuate, some onto the tarmac. Heavily armed police and emergency vehicles on scene.

Edit 2: One suspect in custody. Gunman entered terminal 3 in camo at 9:30 AM PDT and wounded at least 3 people. Seems to have been targeting only TSA.

Edit 3: LAPD has been placed under city-wide tactical alert. Bomb Squad removing any suspicious packages. Large box of ammunition found at LAX. Surrounding airports placed on high alert.

Edit 4: Los Angeles Fire Department assisting LAPD with "a multi-patient incident."

NBC News and ABC News are reporting that one TSA agent was killed in the incident and that a second agent was wounded in the leg. A third individual, possibly the gunman, was reportedly also injured. The suspect is in custody, according to reports.

This is a sad incident, and I mean no disrespect when I say this. U.S government leaders are going to use this as another reason to get rid of assault rifles. Do you think that maybe the government is hiring these people to do this so they can have reason to ban rifles? Like I said, this is a sad incident and I mean no disrespect to the victims.

I know at one point the TSA was also the most despised organization. Although I think the NSA has taken the crown with recent events.

most likely the same motive the last 3-4 mainstream shooters had, their lives sucked so they wanted to make people feel as bad as they did, was probably disgruntled and complaining about something that's really little and unnecessary, not starting a debate or anything but who else would bet money that politics is gonna get involved? you know how the politicians just love to talk about guns!

It's terrible that people can do these attacks towards others. My best wishes goes out to the families of anyone who was involved in this whole thing.

 

Another special thanks to the Los Angeles first responders who took action against this shooting.

Confirmed:

TSA Agent shot, has died. Apparently the suspect walked into the terminal, pulled out a semi-automatic weapon and opened fire. 

 

Not Confirmed:

Status of the gunman (dead, alive, wounded.. etc) Also, several LAX police officers engaged the suspect in a terminal and "stopped the threat." No word yet on his condition. It's currently a FUBAR situation for sure.
