Sig Sauer P226

Sig p226 is one of the best pistols out there, almost every signal department around here uses it. We use the .40cal one. Its really light and really accurate, I just love that gun!!!!

Is it possible to put sig suaer on the police belt and do the nypd use them

The NYPD officers have 3 choices about handguns , first there is the Glock 19 , the Sig Sauer P226 , and the Smith & Wesson 5946 and about having it on the belt i've seen something like that but i can't find it anymore , sorry .

glock 22 .40

Most of the deputies in my county carry it

Even our sheriff carries it

Yeah, I am from the New York metro area, I have a good knowledge of NYPD

thanks man. But in my opinion I think an ex felon would do police wonders i mean who would know the streets better than an ex-con? How would I become a private investegator

Also what about blank firing guns are they considered firearms they dont shoot any projectiles

Please stay on topic. This is about sidearms, not how to become a cop.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

interesting choice

It's basically a 9mm fitted to be fired from a .40 shell, meaning more powder propelling it forward. It's penetration is superb, plus it holds the same amount of rounds as the standard .40. The good ammo can penetrate level II and level IIA body armor (as a comparison, one of the traditional rounds that will penetrate level IIA is .44 magnum), while those will stop 9mm, .40 and .45. While it is slightly more expensive, barrels can be swapped leading to practicing with cheaper .40 rounds and carrying .357 sig.

ah, I see

It's actually the same weapon. You can set it up to chamber either 9mm or .40S&W rounds. That's why I like it so much. Most departments in my area use it as well. And the P228 compact makes a great backup gun since it's smaller and easy to store, but it still fires .357 rounds.

I also love the Beretta 92FS which can again use either 9mm or magnum rounds, and the M1911 .45ACP. Problem is those guns are harder to come by (the 1st one is no longer made and the 2nd one isn't made by its creator any longer, you can only get them from companies that copy them). I also like the idea of revolvers like the Colt Anaconda because it packs a massive punch and doesn't have as many misfire problems as semi-auto handguns do, but they're incredibly slow to reload and carry less ammo.
