So I've seen trucks pulling boats on trailers and trucks pulling just trailers but I haven't been successful in stealing one yet to try it out and see if you can launch/recover a boat into the water and back onto the trailer. Has anyone attempted this? Anyone know where boat trailers spawn to be hooked up to besides them just spawning on cars? If they even do spawn in the world by themselves...

Apparently you can release the boat into the water, just a rumor I heard.

Launching a boat is possible, it's one of the d-pads if I remember correctly. Detaching though, I don't think it's possible, no.

The boat trailers spawn on the highways, so if the RAGEngine still works the way it worked in GTA IV they should spawn on parking lots around the highway/interstate areas.

Not sure what it is on Xbox, but press the 'interact with people' (right d-pad) button to detach a trailer. Back into it to reattach it. This works for tow trucks too. Not sure if it works in the water, of course you could always just jump the truck and trailer into the water and then mount the boat.

Right you are, sir. Not about the last part though, it's not possible to reattach boats.

Yea I knew about the ability to attach/detach the trailers but I was talking about retrieving a boat from the water back onto a trailer. Seems like you can't from what you guys have said. I was able to locate the trailer on the beach and tried to load the boat onto it and it didn't work. I think the boat was to big for that trailer but it didn't even seem like it would work even with the correct boat. Still have yet to find a boat on the trailer to try launching it though.

There's a parking lot in the city full of trailers with boats on them somewhere...but it's pretty easy to find them cruising on the highway going around the map. You can detach the boat from the trailer by tapping right on the D-Pad, and detach the actual trailer by holding right on the D-Pad, if I remember correctly (it could be that after detaching the boat, tapping right D-Pad again will detach the trailer). I don't think you can attach boats to the trailers - I've tried.

Yea I was able to find a truck/boat/trailer and I tried to re-attach it once off the trailer and it doesn't work. Just smashes the boat up

Yes you can reverse the boat trailer with a boat on it into the water and it detaches automatically however you cannot reattach the boat to the trailer without using mods (I know this thread is old)
