  • In what civilized country does a police officer carry an RPG?

  • I said civilized.

  • Well, it may take a LOT of coding, but how about a real life MDT (Optional for all you people who don't like stuff like this) , like when you get a call and you get on scene, you go into your MDT and

If there was some way to get rid of the ambulances and cops randomly responding every 3 mins. That would be awesome. It's a big nuisance to me.

I am sure its already been said 568047.3 times. But I wouldn't mind having a new citation system or maybe keep the old one version but have more options for the amount of the citation and different reasons for pulling that person over.

Yup, you must be using TrafficFlow.

You can edit TrafficFlow.ini: Find ChanceOfRandomDispatch, the default value is 8, increasing the value prolongs the time between random responses while decreasing it reduces the time between random responses.

2) Equip/Unequip NOOSE Gear. A possible way to do this could be behind a police vehicle, "Press E to open the trunk. Press Ctrl+E (Or whatever) to equip/unequip SWAT gear." This would add the vest, helmet and maybe it could also equip the M4.

No. Normal police officers don't carry M16 and SWAT gear in their trunk. The closest thing a normal officer would use is some riot gear they pick up at the station. LCPDFR is the life of a beatcop, not an SWAT member. This is more like something PPS mod would use.

I wouldn't say LCPDFR is a beat cop mod, it's just a cop mod.  With LCPDFR, and even more with 1.0, we've tried to give people a framework and a set of mechanics with which they can be the police in GTA IV.  The focus of LCPDFR isn't one particular area or type of policing, but rather just providing the essentials in a way that is integrated as seamlessly as possible with the normal game.  You can still be the FIB or be a NOOSE Agent with LCPDFR, and likewise you can be a normal cop too.  Our goal has been to make sure that all the stuff that a cop typically does is there for you, like stopping, detaining and searching people, pulling over cars (and stopping fleeing suspects), making arrests and calling in all sorts of backup.

The rest is more or less up to you and your imagination, we don't want to force any particular style of play on you.  That's why there's no penalties for killing innocents or executing surrendered suspects and it's why with 1.0 when it comes to missions and callouts and such, we decided to introduce the API so that you can script your own scenarios based on your own taste.

Allright, i don't think iv'e read that, but lcpdfr is about realism, right? SWAT gear don't just lay in the back of the trunk? Or does it?

Well, SWAT gear should really define the tools and gear that allow SWAT officers the ability to do the jobs they're given (Hostage Rescue, Barricaded Suspects, High-Risk Arrests, etc.). Otherwise, when it comes to "normal" officers, having extra protective gear and higher powered weaponry at least availible in your patrol vehicle has probably become somewhat more common, especially since past incidents have shown how needed they can be at times and how bad delays in getting those items can make things turn out (the Hollywood bank robbery shootout always comes to mind).

The mod technically already has that, as you can go to the trunk of a police vehicle and press "E" to put on body armor and grab an M4.

M4? Isn't it a shotgun?

You get a shotgun and five rounds whenever you enter a new police vehicle, but that's just the default game behavior. LCPDFR gives you an M4 from the trunk, last i checked.

Iv'e never got sn m4 from the trunk. I have only get a combat shotgun w/ full ammo.

- Victor

Huh, maybe I remember wrong. I don't usually use it myself as I keep myself equal with the other officers who don't have armor when I play, and now I use the Everything Car mod for persistent weapon and ammo storage (which I do use to keep a shotgun and M4 available).

There's some pretty sweet ideas here. I wouldn't mind the taser being reworked, maybe.. If possible making it so when you fire the taser you don't startle the whole world and start a riot. I really hate tasing someone and all the cars and people start going haywire. Not sure if this has been suggested yet.

Veni vidi vici

some more different call outs, Better police station, Cops in the station with a criminal in handcuffs, more features in the station and more rooms, a better partner, better world events so like an mva, an officer/civilian shot on the street police called to assist paramedics. Also a way so when you have your taser you don't always need to press alt=T all the time to get it out.

The issue is that you cannot put on *just* a vest and helmet. The way GTA does peds, you can't mix-and-match clothing with just a script (you can do so to a limited extent outside the game, but we don't want to have LCPDFR replace the normal cop ped). The way it is in a vanilla GTA install, the only way to get a vest and helmet on a cop is to switch the cop to be a full-on NOOSE officer. That would include changing the head to one of the NOOSE heads (which are different from cop heads), and the pants to the fully tactical NOOSE bottom (including the drop holster, instead of the cop's duty belt).

custom/forced resolutions for the MDT and menu, with ENB with forced AA the MDT and LCPDFR menu appear off screen, and you cant do anything about it.

The ability to have a custom police computer background, changeable with your own created .png file in the LCPDFR folder, for example "laptopbackground.png" and an lcpdfr, ini value change.
